November is the month of giving thanks due to the pilgrims and Indians and all that. While we should be thankful everyday we often remember to give thanks in November because of Thanksgiving. I know I am so grateful for so many things in my life but with all the hustle and bustle of family life it is often hard to sit down and reflect on all those moments. So each day in November I am going to sit down and write about something I am thankful for and show my gratitude to this amazing world I am so glad to be part of.

Day 1: Today I am thankful for my amazing husband. I seriously don’t know where I’d be without him. He is so strong and kind and just my best friend. We’ve been married for 10 years now and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have it any other way. He is truly my better half and soul mate.

Day 2: I am so thankful for my oldest son. We tried so hard to conceive him and just wanted him so bad. It took a little longer than we expected so we were absolutely thrilled when he was born. He turned us from a couple into a family. He is spirited yet kindhearted. He is a lot like me so while he may not listen these days and I know in the end he will be okay.

Day 3: I am thankful for my youngest son. He is my baby. He says some of the funniest things and just cracks me up. I love when he says “I miss you all day” even though he’s been with me all day. He completes our family (I’m pretty sure anyway).

Day 4: I am thankful for Grace. Having Grace in my life has made me a more compassionate person. While she was part of the hardest time in my life I know everything happens for a reason.

Day 5: I am thankful that my husband decided to walk down the street to try to get a job at Subway when he was 20 years old after being laid off from another job. Instead of getting a job at Subway he ended up passing a hiring center for Bank One and thought hey why not. That hey why not turned into a now 10 years years of computer programming experience and a stable job that he loves.

Day 6: I am thankful that my parents had a wide taste palette. I love so many foods because they allowed me to try things when I was young.

Day 7: I am thankful that my big bug has done so well in school. He is pretty hard headed and has trouble listening to us. At school though he is almost an angel which is nice. It is one less thing I have to worry about.

Day 8: I am thankful for random chances. When I was 17 years old there was a time I was just messing around on AOL online. Randomly I received an instant message from a stranger that said hi. That hi has now turned into 10 years of marriage.

Day 9: I am so grateful for my grandfather. He is an amazing person that I’ve adored all my life. He has always been there for me. I just wish I lived closer to him so that I could be there for him more.

Day 10: I am thankful for modern medicine. Without the medical field some of us may not be here right now.

Day 11: I am thankful for all the people that have fought to make this country a free and safe place to live. People think things are so bad right now but remember they always could be worse.

Day 12: I am thankful that I am able to work at home because my loving husband makes enough money to support us.

Day 13: I am thankful that I have been able to stay at home with my kids while they are young. They grow so fast and I hate to think I missed out on something.

Day 14: I am thankful for technology. TVs. Cell phones. Appliances. You name it, I’m glad we got it. It makes life so much easier.

Day 15: I’m thankful that I have had good skin so far. It may be a nussiance sometimes when people that I am way younger than I am. I hear I will enjoy it one day though.

Day 16: I’m grateful that we all have the ability to love. This would be an awful world if there wasn’t love.  We would miss out on so much.

Day 17: I’m thankful for those sweet moments when you just look at your children and then look at your spouse and smile.

Day 18: I’m thankful for grandmother. She is such a strong and wonderful lady. She’s one of those people that just keeps going and going. She has taught me to be determined.

Day 19: I’m thankful today is a lovely, fall day. I had a nice walk to the bus stop to pick up my big bug.

This is a beautiful homage to being grateful to God. I’m sure he’s pleased. I’m so glad that I got to eMeet you via the SITS girls Site! Yet, the way the world works, the way the Internet works, who knows… I might have met you online somehow anyway. Either way, I’m glad I did.

Life is crazy. I’m busy. You’re busy. The whole world is busy. And that’s a hoot too, because we make plans and God laughs! I said that to say, if I don’t get back over here (because of the upcoming holiday season) – I’ll hold a good thought for you. Promise.

Keep doing YOU and being encouraged and thankful… I will too.

Blessings to you and your family…
PS Not sure if you have time. But I have an interesting, different kind of “Linky” going on that I thought you might want to know about, on my site.
