outer space birthday party supplies

My big bug has been loving anything outer space. He’s always bringing home books from school that are about planets and stars. He even wants to change his room theme to outer space. I love that he likes astronomy type stuff. I always liked it too till it became too much like physics. He’s a very curious kid and wants to know what else is out there. And of course with that type of wonderment comes questions. Oh, the many questions. “How were we made?”. “Is God really real?”. So when I asked him what theme he wanted for his birthday his response was “A space party!” and gave me that “Duh, mom.” look.

Birthday in a box is a great place to find costumes and all your birthday party needs. After looking through other outer space themes on Birthday in a Box he decided on the Deluxe Space Birthday Kit. It includes almost everything you would need to serve 8 people and have an out of a world time. It features a rocket, UFO, planets and stars in bright friendly colors. The kit includes:

  • Colorful Birthday Candles
    birthday candles
  • Purple and Blue Streamers (that could be great to use on a pinata)
    outer space birthday streamers
  • 8 Silver Spoons, 8 Silver Forks, & 8 Silver Knives (perfect to eat cupcakes with)
    birthday cutlery
  • 8 Cake Plates
    outer space plates
  • 8 Cups (that would fun with Kool-Aid Ice Cubes)
    outer space party cups
  • 16 Napkins
    rocket birthday napkins
  • A Dark Blue Table Cloth Featuring Stars
    birthday table cloth stars

The only thing I didn’t like about this package was that it didn’t also come with dinner plates. That’s okay though because I’d rather buy a solid color of those so everything won’t be too matchy matchy. What did you do for your last birthday?

  1. Susan Cooper says:

It sounds like your little one is going to have a “blast”! It is nice having to option of Birthday in a box. I agree with your solid color plate choice. 🙂

  2. What a bloody great box………………….

  3. It’s been ages since I decorated for a Bday, but I do occasionally check-out this type of stuff when I’m at a store just because it’s fun to look at. I can’t remember how many times I stuck my tongue on crepe paper when I was a kid…. ucky!

    • I agree it’s fun to look at. Personally I never really use the crepe paper…I just can’t figure out how to make it look good. Although my son’s party will be at a park this year so I may wrap the poles of the shelter.
