Green Tea Cappuccino
My dad just LOVES green tea. I bet he just likes the tastes and doesn’t even know how many benefits he is reaping by drinking this amazing, tasty drink.

Green tea has a lot of benefits especially organic matcha green tea powder. Like most teas organic matcha gives you an extra burst of energy, but not just any energy – a steady 4-6 hours of mild energy. A steady energy is much more beneficial to a person rather than getting hyped up for a bit than crashing and being useless. A steady flow of energy allows you to be alert and focus so you can do what you need to do – perfect for parents.
Organic matcha is also known for increasing metabolism, protecting the skin from UV rays, improving blood flow, increasing oxygen levels in the skin, and its high level of antioxidants. All of these benefits are great for anyone at any age but older people can especially benefit from the boost of natural defenses in their body that the antioxidants give.

KissMe Organics Organic Matcha is a green tea powder that comes in a closable zip lock type bag. The bag is probably a little less than half way full of organic matcha – about 4 oz. 4oz should last a long time since most recipes wouldn’t call for a lot of matcha all at once.

Organic matcha can be used for many things including baking, smoothies, and other goodies. I decided to keep it as a drink (the way I think it should be) and make a green tea cappuccino with my grandmother’s Bosch Tassimo coffee maker. I hear a lot about green tea lattes but I thought “Hey, why not a cappuccino?”.

Tassimo Green Tea Cappuccino Recipe

  • Bosch Tassimo Coffee Maker
  • Tassimo Semi Sweet cappuccino T Disc
  • Tassimo Espresso T Disc
  • 1/2/ to 1 tsp Organic Matcha

For Christmas we were visiting family out of state for two weeks which was very nice. When it was time for coffee at my grandmother’s house there was something different in her kitchen than the Keurig I have at home – a Bosch Tassimo. I found it to be quite interesting as it can make cappuccinos with their different T Discs too. I just had to play with it and decided a Tassimo Green Tea Cappuccino was the way to go.

Place organic matcha in mug. Insert espresso T Disc and brew as usual. Once the Bosch Tassimo coffee maker has stopped brewing stir until the organic matcha dissolves completely. This was pretty hard for me to do. The matcha just didn’t want to dissolve all of the way.

After the organic matcha is dissolved into the espresso place the same cup back at the Bosch Tassimo cup rest and  insert the Semi Sweet cappuccino T Disc. Brew again as usual and wait for the frothy milk to finish dispensing. Enjoy your antioxidant packed green tea cappuccino! It has a strong green tea taste.

Yum, I love matcha, especially in desserts. 🙂 I’m not much of a coffee drinker but this still looks like a pretty great drink to me. Happy New Year Krystle!
