Mia Mariu Mineral Cosmetics Review & Giveaway

Mia MariuRecently, the nice folks at Mia Mariu were gracious enough to let me try a couple of their fabulous products. Mia Mariu sells a wide range of products with natural ingredients. They also offer business opportunities for women in a platform similar to Avon.

Take a glance at my picture in the right hand sidebar. How old do you think I am? People often guess my age between 16-22 but in reality I will be 30 this year. For many years I hated that people thought I was so much younger than I am. I have had times where I couldn’t even get a sample at Sam’s Club because the server said I had to be at least 16 or have a parent with me. Same thing with airports. They said someone over 16 had to travel with my son not realizing that I was his mother and over 25. Traveling with a toddler is tough enough without having people question my age. Although I think as I get older I will miss people telling me how young I look. I try to take care of my skin the best I can to help lessen my imminent aging downfall.

One way I try to take care of my skin is by moisturizing. I alway put face cream on anytime my face has been wet. I don’t know what it is but if I don’t do that I feel the moisture in my face being sucked out. One of the Mia Mariu products I tried was their Hydrating Anti-Aging Moisturizer with SPF 30+. I am all for staying young looking! This moisturizer is soft and smooth going on and is quickly absorbed without being greasy. It has a nice clean scent and is a nice price. If you’ve ever bought department store face creams you know they are crazy expensive. Most importantly I was not allergic to it. I have tried other moisturizers that turn my face red and give me welts. If your skin is super sensitive like mine you will love this product!

Ever since having my first son my skin change. My cheeks turned more red. It’s quite annoying at times. The second Mia Mariu product I tried was their Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Concealer in Vainilla. This product was nicely package, felt smooth going on, and seemed like it would cover blimishes well. I had hoped it would help cover some of my redness.

Sadly, the color Vainilla was too dark for my skin and it was the lightest shade they carried in this product. You have to understand though-I am super fair and often to refer to my father as being a ghost because he is SO white. He’s one of those people that just turn red with the sun and then goes back white. If you are super fair like me this product will be too dark for you but the best way to find if the product matches your skin color is to try it.

The lovely people at Mia Mariu want to also give you the chance to try these two products. Enter below to win their Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Concealer (in the shade of your choice) and their Hydrating Anti-Aging Moisturizer with SPF 30+. US,18+. Happy entering!

This looks like a very nice product. I am highly allergic so therefore I use very little if any products, including makeup. Even thought I would love to try it, this may be problematic for me. :-)

I am allergic to a lot of skin products too. I was happily surprised that I wasn’t allergic to this face cream :)

I would choose Vanilla, if that is the lightest…but I have a feeling it would probably be too dark for me too :) Still..I really want to find out for myself!

I think I would choose Vainilla or Trigo. It is difficult to tell because I haven’t worn make up for so long. I seem to recall concealer being darker than your actual skin tone but I am not sure?

I hear some people like to use a shade lighter or the same color as your foundation for the concealer color.
