One of my favorite things is pictures. Pictures of my family. I love looking back at all of the great times we’ve had together and watching my kids grow in the blink of an eye. It makes me smile and realize just how lucky I am time after time.

I love giving photo gifts to family and friends but one thing I’ve never done is make a photo book for myself. I just got the chance to do so with MyPublisher and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

The photo book I made is absolutely gorgeous with no detail overlooked. I love it! Using MyPublisher to make my photo book was very easy and straight forward with a user friendly interface.

To start creating your photo book you need to download the MyPublisher BookMaker. It’s pretty quick and painless process. From there you can choose to make a custom book where you design each page and have complete control or a simple book where the photos you select are arranged chronologically in predesigned layouts. You of course can edit the pages as you wish. I started with the simple book but it turned into a custom one because I edited everything which was so easy to do.

There are four different book sizes for you to choose from with prices starting at $2.99 for the Mini 20 Page Paper Back Book measuring 3.5″ x 2.75″ up to the Deluxe Hardcover Book measuring 15″ x 11.5″ with prices starting at $59.99 for first 20 pgs ($1.99/each additional page). As you go up in price nicer and nicer options are available like have the ability to choose between the Photo Finish, Book Jacket, Linen (no extra cost) or Leather cover options at an extra cost.

Let me tell you I chose the leather cover option, it’s SO nice! I chose the black leather but you can also chose brown. It is made of Spanish leather and is hand stitched around all the edges. It has a die-cut window in the cover where you can display any photo of your choosing which is super nice.

You can also chose from a variety of themes for your photo book to be in like Modern, Vintage, Collage, Baby Boy, Wedding, and more. Each of these has their own layouts along with coordinating images and colors. I chose the style Collage. It’s a fun, colorful family feeling theme.

After choosing how you want to make the book, the book size, your cover option, and the style of your book you go on to upload your pictures. Then the fun begins. Placing and editing all your photos just the way you want them.

With MyPublisher’s easy interface you’ll be editing pictures, adding fonts, fixing red eye, rotating pictures, and zooming in to get the pictures just the way you want them. The software will even let you know if you are using a low quality image and if you spelled anything wrong. Can we say perfect!?

Once you have completed the book of your dreams it’s time to purchase it. You create a MyPublisher login and from there you can add even more options to your completed book. You can upgrade paper options, choose for the pages to lay flat, add super gloss printing, or even add liners to the inside cover of your book. Then there’s a variety of boxes, slipcases, and more that you can use to store you treasured photo memories in.

Overall, I would highly recommend MyPublisher to anyone looking to make a high quality, gorgeous book with ease. For one they doing amazing, quality work and two have a user friendly interface. I’ve used other photo book interfaces that were absolutely awful. So awful I had to decline reviewing it because it was just that bad.

MyPublisher is great! It is a little more pricey than some other photo book companies but you can’t beat the quality. I would much rather pay a little more for something top notch than less for, well, crap.

  1. This is great, Krystle! A girlfriend at work made an amazing Phoenix scrapbook for me all without me having any knowledge. She got the pictures off of my Facebook page and my blog. It took her months to put together. And when I opened it I started bawling crying. Pages and pages of our 11 years together. I hope you are having a good day/evening! 🙂
