  2. The diet program industry is such big business and so unneccesary in my opinion. You hit the nail on the head, Krystle. Each the right foods, smaller portions and cut way down on fast food. Drink lots of water and get out of daily 20 minute walks and those pounds will start dropping! 🙂

    • Yes, everything is super sized these days. We also just need to eat slower and we’d fill up so much quicker. My everyone just inhales their food.

  4. You said that one of the advantages is that you don’t have to cook since they prepare the food for you. I actually would find that as a disadvantage because of how much of a picky eater I am. That’s one of the many reasons why I never tried to go on a diet before.

    • I think my husband would have a problem with it too. He’s a pretty picky eater too and doesn’t like many things. I think the programs have to be versatile enough to consider the picky eaters too though.

    I am not a healthy an eater as i should be. It all get done to time. I will often grabs something quick when time is short but it usually isn’t’ the right choice. I have heard positive things about Nutrisystem. For me it is just a matter of discipline. 🙂

  6. I’ve never tried any diet programs, but the older I get, the harder it is to change some of my bad eating habits. Ugh, if only metabolism didn’t slow down as we age!

    • Yes, I wish our metabolisms didn’t slow down either. My comes to a hault though when I’m pregnant though. I can just look at food and gain weight.

Being that it becomes more difficult to lose weight the older I get, I find that those last 10 pounds that seem to make their way back to me every other year, are best gone when I stick with more fruits and vegetables by the end of any one day. I did try Nutrisystem one year and while it was most convenient and easy, it left me hungry. I think each of us likely has one better way of eating to keep our weight where we want it. You are right: it’s all about eating habits. Thanks.

    • I agree not every program will work for every person. You just got to find what works best for you by trying different things.
