Since you have chowder on your mind, you need to make sure you have the essentials to make this creamy soup. Two of our favorite cookware options are made by our friends at Amercook.
Since these are often milk-based soups, freezing extra is not an option. So instead of using a large stockpot, we like to make smaller batches using saucepans and casserole pots.

Amercook Heavy-Duty Nonstick Saucepan with Lid

chowder pot

This is the perfect sized saucepan for two people. No need to dirty up more dishes than you have to.

low soup pot

It features a ceramic coating and induction-heating bottom. Nothing is sticking to this baby, and you are much less likely to burn anything using it.chowder low pot

Everything cooks so evenly, which is a must when cooking creamy soups. I hate when you get that nasty burned soup gunk on the bottom of other pots.

Plus, it's pretty light and even has an ergonomic design. I love that it can also be used in the oven too!

Amercook Die-Cast Aluminum Low Casserole Pot & Lid

Have a bigger family? This shallow pot would suit you well! It features everything mentioned above but can hold just a bit more of your yummy goodness.

Both of these Amercook cookware pots are also dishwasher safe, but I prefer to wash them by hand. Honestly, these are now the nicest pots we own. They both came with two oven mitts and were packaged very nicely.

You can tell just by looking at them that they are high-quality pieces and work even better.

If you are in the market for new cookware, you can't go wrong with Amercook. Nice price too!

I live in Florida where chowder isn’t as popular as other states. I cook a lot of soups, but have never made a chowder. I really like some of these recipes, and will be pinning them. The Roasted Cauliflower, Potato, and Corn Chowder looks the best to me.
