Biggest-Signs-It’s-Time-to-Change-Jobs-or-Start-a-New-Career

Every day, we get up, get dressed, and head to work… it’s most people’s morning routine. And with that routine, you sometimes get this feeling of not wanting to go to work. This is a common feeling that people will have now and then, but what if this feeling becomes the new norm for you Unfortunately, this is the case for many people. According to Forbes, more than half of US workers are unhappy in their jobs.

And the even more unfortunate aspect is that they are in debt from their college education to be working in jobs that they didn’t even go to school for.

Despite being unhappy with their jobs, most won’t quit because it pays the bills and puts food on the table… Moreover, people just don’t want to go through the process of looking for another job again or change careers. And as time-consuming and frustrating that process can sometimes be, it may be necessary to consider that option.

True enough, we all go through “ruts” with our jobs, but sometimes that’s just a sign that it’s time for you to go on vacation.

With “ruts,” sometimes a break is the fix, and you feel much better and mentally refreshed when you come back from your vacation. But then again, sometimes you indeed do need to find another job or change careers altogether.

The thing about making this decision is that you’ve probably experienced or seen all the signs for quite some time but have chosen to ignore them… Well, that will just go to show you that you can only ignore these signs and feelings for so long before your mind and body can’t handle it any longer.

If you’ve seen or experienced any of these signs, you’re long overdue for a fresh new start in your work life.

Biggest Signs It’s Time For a New Job or Career Change

You Can’t Enjoy Your Weekends

Everybody works hard during the week so that they can fully enjoy their weekends… But when you’re not happy at your job, your mind is too focused on the dread that will come Monday morning. You actually might be able to enjoy your Saturdays, but Sundays are definitely a struggle.

Have you ever noticed how on Sundays, you’re more focused on time? It’s like you may be watching football games on TV but find yourself continually looking at the clock or feeling like time is just flying by… All of that is a sign that you need to find another job or career path.

You’re Physically and Mentally Drained

Most people feel tired after work, but exhaustion is an entirely different thing. This is all attributed to stress.

If you’re having continued headaches, having a hard time concentrating, and experiencing body aches, these are all red flags that you don’t need to ignore.

If your job is impacting your health in a significant way like this; it’s time to find something else.

Entrepreneurship is Constantly on Your Mind

When you’re unhappy at your job, you despise everything about it. The hours, the people, and the overall work environment, you hate… In your mind, if only you could run your own business, you’d be so much happier.

And the thing about running your own business is that it’s not out of your reach at all. More and more people are starting their own businesses every day because they want to be their own boss.

If you want to start your own clothing line, you can absolutely do that! You would just need to get your website together, create your custom clothing labels, and market your business.

There’s, of course, more that goes into it than that, but the point is that if you want to leave your current job to start your own business, you definitely can.

You’re thinking about a new career. But how do you know if you really need a change? Here are some signs you need a new job ASAP!Click To Tweet

The Money No Longer is Making You Want to Stay

There are many things that money can buy, but it can’t buy you happiness or peace of mind within your job. Many people will stay at a job because they make good money… but that can only last for so long before the money isn’t even worth it anymore.

When your peace of mind and happiness starts to outweigh your salary, your brain has reached its capacity for holding the stress and anxiety associated with your job. This a big sign that it’s time to find something else.

What clues let you know you were in the wrong career?

These are definitely good signs that it is time to find a new job. I have been there and dreading Monday is real when you hate your job. I had one where I worked so often that I never saw my daughter. I didn’t like this at all, so I quit.
