How To Make The Inside Of Your Car Sparkle

There are few things that a car nut loves more that taking care of their vehicle. Making sure that it's well maintained and clean is one of the main duties that you have to undertake when you really care about your car. Many people spend hours making sure that every inch is cleaned, waxed and polished to a mirror shine.

The problem is no matter how much attention even the most obsessive gear head gives to the outside of the car, the interior always seems to end up getting ignored. This means that you end up driving around in a car that looks fantastic on the outside but when you actually get in it's uncomfortable, dirty, and even smelly a lot of the time.

To make sure that this fate doesn't befall your beloved vehicle, here are a few things that you can do to keep your car's interior as sparkling clean is its exterior.

Protect Your Car From The Elements

Far too many car owners fail to realize just how much of an impact the elements can have on the interior of their car. We all know the impact that the weather can have on a brand new paint job or gorgeous detailing, but the inside is just as vulnerable from the wear and tear of the outside world.

If the weather is awful and you find yourself needing to open the window, your car could end up suddenly getting completely soaked. This can damage the upholstery and lead to a pretty musty, unpleasant smell. It's a good idea to invest in some window visors. These are an absolutely fantastic way to make sure that bad weather always stays on the outside of your car where it belongs.

Keep A Trash Can Handy

Obviously, you're not going to want anything especially large taking up leg room, but there is definitely something to be said for a keeping a trash can inside your car. That way, if you end up with something that you need to throw away, rather than it just building up clutter on all of the seats and floors, you can keep it in a single place until the time comes when you can empty it. This will help keep your car clean and tidy.

There are many car trash cans nowadays that hang on the back of a seat and take up only unused space.

Keep Food Out Of The Car

I know this easier said than done especially if you have kids. Seriously though, this is the number one way that the interior of your car can become messy and unpleasant. A few crumbs here or there might not seem like a big deal but over time they can add up and leave your car looking seriously gross!

Get Into A Routine

If you really want to keep the inside of your car clean, you've got to maintain it as often as possible. The only way to be able to avoid letting mess and dirt overcome your car is to get into a routine. Make sure that you take out the trash from your car every week and give it a deep clean at least once a month.

A routine makes everything so much easier. Plus, the kids come to expect it which makes it so much nicer.

What annoys me is that at times I feel I am the only one who cleans the car and it seems to be always a mess.
