When your child is exposed to a blistering sunburn as a child, this can double their risk for skin cancer as an adult. One major tip that you will want to pass onto your kids, is that they should avoid a sunburn, at all costs. Being sunburnt is not only damaging to your skin, but it can have long-term effects that you cannot always see.

Kids shouldn’t be exposed to the sun for long periods of time

No matter the age, kids shouldn’t be exposed to the sun for long periods of fun. Newborns shouldn’t be exposed without proper protection. There is no doubt about it that children are more sensitive to the sun than adults. However, adults should also pay close attention to exposing themselves to the sun too. Sunscreen and proper sun care is important for everyone, not just kids.
