Last year I was introduced to Collin Street Bakery and I can't express how grateful I am to have made their acquaintance. They make one heck of a Deep Dish Pecan Pie! I had never tried a pecan pie before Collin Street Bakery because lets face it pecan pies kind of look gross. Boy, did Collin Street Bakery change my mind and instilled the saying “Never judge a book by its cover”. They made me a pecan pie lover for life!
In case you've never heard of Collin Street Bakery, well, shame on you! Collin Street Bakery has been around a LONG time since 1896. They are known world wide thanks to John Ringling and the circus. Mr. Ringling and his brigade helped make Collin Street Bakery one of the best places to mail order fruitcakes (and now pies and more) by having them mailed to friends and family all over the world. Today, they gladly ship to over 195 foreign lands.
Don't you worry anything shipped from Collin Street Bakery is immaculately packaged in a perfectly sized shipping box and then encased in an attractive keepsake tin. Everything I've received from Collin Street Bakery has came to me looking perfect, just as if I had picked it up from the bakery itself which is located in Corsicana, Texas. Coincidentally enough it's only about 4 hours from me. I'll have to visit there one day when I'm visiting Dallas and see this world famous bakery in person.
For now I'll just have to settle admiring their Apple Cinnamon Pecan Cake they sent me. It's absolutely gorgeous!! Just as always it came perfectly package, not a crumb out of place. It was even wrapped in plastic within the decorative tin that was inside the shipping box. Can we say thorough?
The Apple Cinnamon Pecan Cake features a honey batter, cinnamon, chunks of Washington apples, almond slivers, and of course LOTS of pecans. The pecans were my families favorite part. SO good! We could of just scrapped them off and been satisfied they are THAT good.
I love that when ordering the Apple Cinnamon Pecan Cake you have a lot of options. You can get it sliced or not sliced. Get it in the regular size (serves 16-20 ) or medium (serves 24-30). Add ground or bean coffee (a great addition!). Gift box it or not. It's made to send as a gift! Would be a perfect thinking of you, thank you, or Thanksgiving Day gift. It's totally in season right now!
I encourage you to try Collin Street Bakery. Especially their Deep Dish Pecan Pie. TO. DIE. FOR. Okay, not really but you get the idea. Receive free standard shipping on online orders $50 or more. Offer good through November 6-10. Use keycode: 51YUM3. You won't be disappointed!!
