Creative Ways to Celebrate Christmas Together This Year

Whether you are grabbing some hot cocoa with your best friend or enjoying a romantic stroll with your sweetheart, make lasting memories, you will never forget. Let’s get creative this year! Even if you don’t have what you need right away, take advantage of the incredible Christmas sales, and try these fun activities!

Ice Cream Roulette

Write random sugary ingredients on slips of paper.

Add Christmas favorites like peppermint, gingerbread, or candies with red and green coloring.

Then randomly choose three ingredients.

Then make homemade ice cream with the chosen ingredients for your next Christmas celebration!

Fun, right?

Christmas Geocaching

Make your holiday fun with a Christmas geocaching adventure.

Explore your neighborhood or try someplace new.

If you are doing this with kids, you might want to plant your holiday-themed geocaches easy for children to find.

Ultimate Holiday Drive-In Marathon

Using a big screen, speakers, and Bluetooth projector, invite everyone for the ultimate holiday movie marathon.

Set it up at a park or someone’s house. Stream favorite holiday films all night, and enjoy delicious caramel popcorn and Christmas treats!

Stage an Original Holiday Musical

Got someone musical in your life? Write and stage your own fun Christmas musical.

Improvise silly songs or even spoof holiday favorites like “White Christmas” or “Jingle Bells”.

Add a short storyline and some costumes from the closet, and enjoy a theatre debut like no other!

Be a Farmhand for a Day

Whether you are city folk or grew up helping on the farm, help out a friend and learn something by being a farmhand for a day.

Bring your kids to a neighborhood farm and ask if your family can volunteer. Enjoy going back to the simpler way of life.

Give a little this holiday!

Volunteer at a Soup Kitchen

Take the time to help your community this holiday season.

Whether you serve a holiday dinner at a soup kitchen, volunteer at a homeless shelter, help an elderly neighbor, or offer to babysit for a single parent, use your time to build a relationship and contribute.

Christmas Cookie Marathon

The games are on! Have everyone bring a batch of their favorite holiday cookies. Then get ready for a marathon.

Challenge your friends to have a cookie-eating contest. The winner who eats the most cookies in eight minutes wins!

Recycled Art Ornaments

Celebrate Christmas by making dozens of fun ornaments from recycled materials.

Collect knick-knacks, pine cones, buttons, containers, lace, art supplies, and more.

Invite your friends and family to come over with their batches of recycled materials. Together make dozens of fun ornaments.

Get out of the rut and try some new ways to celebrate Christmas this year. Check out these fun ideas! Click To Tweet

Have fun this Christmas with your family and friends. You don’t have to settle for the same old activities.

Whether you cook together or write the next hit Christmas musical, enjoy spending quality time with your loved ones. Try something new and creative this Christmas. Happy holidays!

What’s your favorite Christmas activity?

The way things are looking we may not be able to do any of our usual activities outside the house. For that reason I know my husband and I need to make this Christmas more special for our kids.More special moments which will include doing crafts, baking goodies, and putting up even more Christmas decor. This post has inspired me, you have a lot of creative ideas/tips. Thank you!

I know what you mean. Christmas won’t be the same at our home either. I’m thinking of doing that advent calendar where you get a little present each day up until Christmas. It’s usually something small and an activity like baking cookies or drinking hot chocolate.

Christmas is my favorite holiday. Such a great time of year. These are some great suggestions. I have never served in a soup kitchen but I would like to some time. What a blessing that would be. Thank you so much for sharing
