Recent trends prove that more people are opting to cook and eat at home than ever. And while this is an excellent trend for your bank account, it may not be for your tastebuds. It’s common to find yourself cooking the same recipes week in and week out — which can get boring, fast.

Why not expand your culinary horizons a bit and add a few cultural favorites from around the world to your cooking rotation? These four cultural favorites are the perfect way to give your tastebuds something new to look forward to.

Eating international food can be tricky if you don’t know where to start. These four cultural dishes are easy and delicious! Click To Tweet

INTERNATIONAL FOOD RECIPES

1. Thai Green Curry

If you have not yet wandered into the delicious world of Thai food, this dish might just change your world.

Thai green curry is well known for its rich combinations of spices and flavor while still tasting fresh and light with sweet coconut milk and hints of thyme and lime. And while most Thai food includes fish sauce as a staple, many recipes can be made vegan and gluten-free — so this yummy dish is sure to check the boxes of everyone you know.

2. Swedish Meatballs

If you’re looking for something quick and easy to cook when you’re in a time crunch that also packs a punch of flavor, these Swedish meatballs should definitely be in your culinary repertoire. Not only will these take you only about 30 minutes to make, but they also use ingredients that are standard in just about any kitchen.

The trick is in the bread — opt for day-old sandwich bread soaked in milk to create tender, juicy meatballs. Though they are small, they are mighty (flavorful). You’ll be thanking yourself for learning how to make these with every bite you take.

3. Homemade Gnocchi

Luckily gnocchi is easier to make than to pronounce. Best of all, in true Italian style, this particular gnocchi recipe is best when made with friends.

Invite a few of your loved ones and make some memories while preparing delicious food together. Once the gnocchi is made, each person can choose the sauce of their choice to smother it in while enjoying your culinary masterpiece together.

4. Oxtail Dinner

One surprising beef dinner idea that could take you on a culinary tour around the world all by itself is oxtail. Believe it or not, oxtail has been a part of many different cultural cuisines for centuries. From Asia to Africa to Jamaica and Spain and also in Italy, Russia, and even Britain — where oxtail stew is considered a comfort food — there is no shortage of cultural oxtail dinner recipes.

If you’re not sure where to find oxtail meat near you, Instacart’s meat delivery (and grocery) services have you covered. Simply visit their site to determine the kind of oxtail delivery you need and let an Instacart personal shopper do the work for you.

Do Yourself a ‘Flavor’

Cooking at home doesn’t have to be a repeat of the same few dishes over and over again. Instead, spice up your culinary repertoire a bit and learn some new recipes to keep your tastebuds from falling asleep.

From Thailand to Sweden and Italy to anywhere and everywhere, Oxtail meat is enjoyed. These four culinary favorites are sure to wow your mouth and keep friends and family coming back for more.
