Guess what my six year old decided to be for Halloween!? A knight. It is purely coincidental that he picked the same type of costume I chose for his two year old brother nearly six months ago. So now instead of having one knight I will have one Knight of the Dragon and one Dragon Slayer.
My six year old really wanted to be a knight. Not sure why. Maybe it is because he had a Knight Party for his birthday this year. On Wholesale Halloween Costume’s website the Dragon Slayer costume was by far the best choice for my son. He is drawn to darker colors like black and grey (not red and blue like some of the other Wholesale Knight Costumes) so this costume was perfect for him!
He is six years old so I expected the Medium 8-10 sized costume to be a little big on him. I wish they would have had a Small 6-8 available but the Medium was the smallest size the Dragon Slayer costume came in. No biggie.
The Dragon Slayer Costume comes with a tunic, cape, hood, belt, gauntlets, and boot covers. Add a sword and a shield and my son will be set to trick or treat the night away. Nice!
Being that my son is six everything is a little big on him but not so big that he can’t wear it. The funny thing is the hood does not fit his head (mainly it is just tight around his neck) which is surprising since the costume is an 8-10. My son just must have an enormous head. I did have a 4th degree giving birth to him so it probably is just his big head. I know that big head a little too well.
The belt, gauntlets, and boot covers are a vinylish type cloth that could be easily wiped if they got dirty in the midst of running door to door.
The tunic has a screen printed shield on the front of it and chain-mail like sleeves which are a stretchy mesh type material that has been painted silver. My son says this material is a little itchy so I plan on putting some kind of shirt underneath the tunic. Probably not a bad idea since it will more than likely be chilly anyway.
I can’t wait for Halloween! It is such a fun time of year. Not to mention all of the candy that my kids will be “sharing” with me. What are your kids being for Halloween?

With so many toddler and child costumes to choose from on the net, making our minds up for our kids fancy dress look this Halloween or for any fancy dress party can be daunting and time consuming. With so many to choose from, where do you start.
I usually just try to play off of what they like or if they are too young I go with what I like lol.
What a great costume, I am not into Halloween to me the 31st October is just my brother’s birthday…………lol
Aww. I used to know someone with that birthday. I hope he has a great one!
That is the coolest costume ever. I love Halloween. You must take pictures of the two of them together. 🙂
