Mothers with little children often find working in places like an office environment very hard to do. For starters, daycare costs are outrageous and many just aren't ready to be away from their children for that long.
However, freelance writing IS something they can do. This is an excellent way of getting extra money without leaving your home.
Sites That Pay for Articles
There are a lot of websites that will pay you for articles on particular topics. For example, Wow! Women on Writing will pay you for articles on topics related to women. Working with this website, you’ll earn $75 to $150 per article.
Similar sites are The Daily Tackle, Hubpages, InfoBarrel, and Textbroker.
Freelancing Platforms
There are many platforms like Upwork where freelancers with different specializations can advertise their services and search for potential customers.
On these job boards, you can find jobs for science writers, designers, personal blog writers, web developers, nursing and medical writers, marketing experts, and so on.
WritersDepartment
This site is great if you want to earn money writing in academic or business fields. They will help you find customers so you don't have to spend the majority of your time searching for a job rather than writing. You'll be quickly able to do what you love – writing creative hooks in an essay, how-to guides, or whatever your preferred writing niche is.
The website’s team will find professional writing jobs that fit your schedule and are specialized just for you.
On freelancing platforms, you'll find that many clients are repeat customers that you can work with longterm.
Online Surveys
There are a lot of websites where you can earn money by taking surveys. This is a great option if you get tired of doing freelance writing jobs or just need some variety.
To participate in online surveys, check out websites like Swagbucks, MyPoints, Survey Junkie, and Inbox Dollars.
My personal favorite is Swagbucks because they also allow you to earn points (i.e. money) for searching the web. So instead of using Google make Swagbucks your default search engine and get money for something you'd do anyway. It really couldn't be easier!
Entering Data And More
On the fabulous internet, you can also do virtual jobs like data entry, data research, testing, and translation. There are plenty of websites like The Smart Crowd and Clickworker where you’ll be able to do this sort of thing.
As you can see, even if you’re a mom busy with kids, there are still plenty of ways for you to earn good money on the Internet.
My personal favorites are Appen and Leapforce. In these jobs, you often deal with social media or search results, trying to improve the user experience. It's a very flexible work that I love!
Thank you for sharing this! Do you know of sites for editing?
My favorite places to look for any work at home jobs are workplacelikehome and wahm. Both ‘dot com’.
