The Easiest Way to Save Money

Sometimes it feels like spending money is as easy as breathing. Everything we do in life costs money. Throw in kids and you have a regular never-ending spending spree on your hands. Every time I turn around the kids need lunch money added to their account or sports fees are due. I hear “I need this for school” and I want or need this or that. And all of that is on top of the normal expenses like the mortgage and electricity. This leaves little room for saving money.

Yes, there are traditional savings accounts that are obviously meant for saving. Hence the name, but when you think about the overdraft and monthly fees it costs to manage such an account, how much can you really save?

As a millennial, I practically live on my phone. I use it daily to keep on top of my emails, social media, and of course to text. It does way more than keep me social, though. I use it to control my thermostat, order groceries and even manage my bank accounts.

Here lately, I have been using Chime. Chime is a new kind of bank account that makes it easy to manage money with no unnecessary fees right from your smartphone using their iOS or Android app. That means NO monthly fees or minimums, NO overdrafts and ATMs are FEE-FREE at 24,000+ locations! When you sign up via chimecard.com or the app you get a Chime Visa® debit card, an FDIC insured spending account, AND a savings account.

The thing that I think is super cool (Yes, I still say “Cool”!) about Chime is their automatic savings program. Every time you use your Chime card to pay for something whether it's a bill or baseball lessons the transaction is rounded to the nearest dollar amount and then transferred to your savings account. PLUS every Friday they pay YOU a 10% bonus on your round ups for the week!

I went to a restaurant to celebrate my birthday with a friend and used my Chime card. I then got my round up and at the end of the week, I got a 10% bonus on all of them. It was like Chime giving me a birthday present. Funny thing is Chime can give me a birthday present every week the more I use it. Chime allows me to save money without even thinking about! I absolutely think it's a brilliant idea!!

I am getting ready to switch my work direct deposit to Chime. You know why? When you use direct deposit via Chime you can get paid up to two days earlier! Who doesn't want their money faster!?

Don't worry the app notifies you anytime there’s any activity on your account so you’re always on top of your finances no matter where you are. Plus the app has received top ratings on both iTunes and the Play Store for money management apps so you are in good hands.

I found the app super easy and straight forward to use (I am a millennial after all). That's why Chime is now helping me save like I never could before and I am loving it. Sign up today and save here!

I love being able to monitor my accounts online, it makes things really convenient for me. I think this app is awesome. It looks a lot like the interface of Paypal’s app so you know that it’s easy to use and understand!

Hmm… this sounds VERY interesting to me. I could sure use the savings A LOT. We just found out we have asbetos in the house (pipes) and to abate the house, it’d be VERY expensive 🙁

I’m so sorry to hear about the asbestos. That’s awful! I know that’s not a cheap task.
