The holidays are officially upon. That means a lot of us will be attending holiday parties, fundraisers, and family events. There’s enough stress with attempting to buy the perfect gift, our outfit shouldn’t be one of them. Here are some easy ways to dress up a simple holiday look and always be camera ready!
Focus on your family, and not your outfit. Simple yet SO stylish is the key.
Almost every female wants to be that showstopper when you walk into a room, the fact is that can sometimes take a lot of effort. Effort most of us don’t have time for especially if you are a mother. We don’t have time for a complete overhaul and team of stylists making us up (we wish!), we’re lucky if we can get out the door without a kid rubbing grimy hands on us.
One of the easiest ways to dress up a holiday outfit is to have great hair. Hair in an amazing color is an easy statement piece that will last you well past the holidays. The best part? You’re always wearing it! The kids can’t break it and you can’t accidentally forget it somewhere either.
I colored my hair an intense warm mahogany shade by Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color that I picked up at Walmart. Red is the perfect color for the holidays, don’t you think?
It was super easy to use and most importantly covered all of my gray hairs – it’s 100% gray coverage really gets it all! I suffer from gray hairs mostly in my temple area but after using this hair dye not one is to be seen. Yes!
Inside of the box, you receive 5 items – Gloves, Pre-Treatment, Color Cream, Keratin Care Complex Conditioner, and an Applicator Bottle with Developer Lotion. Everything is numbered and ready to go.
First, I applied the Pre-Treatment to the dry ends of my hair. Surprisingly, there’s quite a bit in that little tube and you should have no problem saturating your ends completely. The Pre-Treatment helps you receive an even color result which is amazing.
Next, squeeze the Color Cream into the Applicator Bottle, making sure to get it all. After putting the lid back on the Applicator Bottler, go a little buck wild and shake that baby until a smooth cream forms.
Now we get to the fun part, applying the color.
My hair was previously dyed as you can see above and I had quite a bit of regrowth visible, so I followed the instructions for Regrowth Application. I applied the mixture to my regrowth, rubbed it in, and let develop for 20 minutes.
Once the 20 minutes was up, I applied the remaining mixture to the rest of my hair and let develop for 10 more minutes.
Completely rinse your hair with warm water until the water turns clear. To your clean hair, apply the Keratin Care Complex Conditioner, letting sit for two minutes, and then rinsing completely. The result should be a shiny, soft yet intensely colored holiday-ready hair.
