Thank you, Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups for sponsoring this post. Treat your SOUP-er significant other to a delicious meal!

This winter has been slightly schizophrenic – it can’t decide what to do! One day the sun is happily beaming and next, it is cold, wet, and miserably dreary. Despite what this winter has in store, I’m so thankful I can always cuddle up next to my husband and feel safe and secure —– and maybe sponge off some of his heat too 🙂 He doesn’t mind if I’m gabbing about how I want to start an llc or describing my favorite television show frame by frame, he’s just happy to be with me.

Today’s blog post shares simple ways you and your SOUP-er significant other can stay warm on date nights at home.

Cook Dinner Together

I have to be honest, my husband and I rarely cook together. Unless you count scrambling around trying to please our picky kiddos. However, when we do get the chance, it’s SO fun!

On chilly winter date nights, nothing is quite as romantic and warming as making one of our favorite Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups soups together. They are available in four delicious varieties: Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Broccoli and Cheddar Potato.

We plan it out so one of us is the chef and prepares the soup, while the other preps garnishes and heats up the bread. You can even make it a roleplaying game if you want, turn up the music, and drink some wine as you cook together.

Idahoan Steakhouse Soups are nice and quick so it’s fun to make and doesn’t feel like a chore. They bring together real, red Idaho® potatoes with flavorful seasonings and rich cheeses to provide a creamy taste in every spoonful – all you have to do is add water! I love that I can have a restaurant-quality soup at home in practically no time at all. They are a new staple in my pantry!winter, winter date nights, date night ideas, date nights at home, date nights in

I think food tastes better when it is made with love and nothing is quite as warming as that. Except making chowing down on our favorite Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups and then doing some of these other fun date night ideas.

Pretend You Are At The Beach

So maybe it’s raining one day and freezing cold the next, that doesn’t mean you can’t crank up the heat and have some fun indoors! Nothing warms me up like thoughts of a hot, sandy beach or sitting poolside during a Texas summer.

That’s right – dig out those swimsuits, layout some beach towels, and have a beach blowout right in the middle of your living room floor! Serve some tropical cocktails and maybe give each other a sunscreen massage so your senses believe it too.

Have a Pajama Party

Want to be warm and toasty? Break out the pajamas and all things fuzzy.

Throw on your PJs, put on those fuzzy socks, and whip out your coziest blankets. And, make a blanket fort right in front of the fireplace. If you don’t have a fireplace, candles work great too (at least for the ambiance 🙂 )!

Turn Up The Heat By Working Out

Get the pheromones flying and hit the gym together, it’ll turn up the heat in more than one way. Or, if you want to save some money run around the block together. Either way, you’ll warm up in no time!

Bring The Spa Home

A spa is a place of tranquility and nice hot saunas. While bringing the sauna home probably isn’t doable, a massage totally is. A massage can get your blood flowing and warm all of you up. Hot massaging oils could also do the trick 😉

So are you ready to heat things up this winter with your SOUP-er significant other? I think you are! 🙂

We usually go for pajama party then we cook simple meals like nachos and tomato or pumpkin soup. Then we also make fun mocktails for fun!

You already know that eating healthfully in the winter is important to fend off colds and the flu, but did you know it might help keep you warm, too? Eating extra healthy fats during the winter can help rev up metabolism, which in turn heats the body, according to Columbia Health.
