Being the mother of two active boys I have come accustom to sports. I have never really been a sports fan by any means, but I do love watching my son play baseball. I love that he loves it. It's so fun to watch him light up when he's doing well and it breaks my heart when he gets so down on himself for doing something wrong.
Big Bug is now in second grade and just starting to really get the reading thing down. I'm amazed every week at the words he can spell for his weekly Friday spelling test. I was thinking that a great stocking stuffer this Christmas would be something comprised of his love of sports and his need to learn how to read.
AND I found it – a Sports Illustrated Kids magazine subscription! Big Bug doesn't really get mail from other people so I think he would be anxiously awaiting this every month – especially since I have him check the mail for me. Lazy mommy.
SI Kids magazines are packed with all kinds of sports related goodies including easy to read stories, action pictures, comics, tips from their favorite pros, and a lot of fun activities to keep them busy. I hope Big Bug receives his SI Kids magazine soon as it will make a great distraction on our long road trip this holiday season.
Sports Illustrated Kids is now offering a special subscription where you can purchase an entire year of SI Kids in print and on tablet for $19.95. Then as a bonus you can send a second gift of 12 issues (1 year) for only $5! That's a great deal!!
Purchase the SI Kids special subscription today and worry about one less gift. Heck, it's the perfect gift – needs no wrapping, delivered straight to your door, and it's the gift that keeps on giving.
