5 Ways to Keep Your Hands Clean Anywhere, Anytime

Have you ever stopped to think about how often you touch your face in a day? Studies show that we touch our faces an average of 16 times per hour, and with each touch, we risk transferring germs from our hands to our noses, mouths, and eyes. Keeping your hands clean is crucial to staying healthy, especially when you're on the go.

In this article, we'll explore 5 practical ways to keep your hands clean anywhere, anytime. From carrying hand sanitizer to practicing good hygiene habits, we've got you covered with tips that are easy to implement. So, let's dive in and learn how to prevent the spread of germs and stay healthy no matter where we are.

Keep your hands germ-free no matter where you are! 💦 Follow these 5 simple tips to stay healthy on-the-go: Click To Tweet

Wash Your Hands Frequently

Everybody knows frequent hand washing is an essential practice to keep your hands clean. Washing your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds can remove germs that are stuck on your hands.

You can do this even if you are not visibly dirty or coming in contact with someone sick. It's a simple and effective preventative measure to keep germs at bay.

However, let's be realistic. Sink access isn't always possible, and it can be frustrating. But with Handzies, you can still get that clean, refreshed feeling you get from washing your hands at a sink.

Their special mix of water, Castille soap, and essential oils ensures that you won't be left with any chemical smells or unpleasant residue. It's a game-changer for those times when a sink just isn't an option!

I love having Handzies packets with me wherever I go! They're so convenient and helpful for keeping my family's hands clean, especially when they get dirty, sticky, or just plain gross.

Whether packing my kid's lunches or heading out to the park, I know I can rely on Handzies Soap + Water Wipes to help keep my family fresh and germ-free.

Carry Hand Sanitizer

To take your hand-cleaning game up a notch, consider carrying hand sanitizer with you wherever you go. It's a quick and convenient way to kill germs when you don't have access to Handzies or a sink.

However, not all sanitizers are made equal. It's important to find a hand sanitizer with a minimum of 60% alcohol content to ensure maximum effectiveness against germs. When applying hand sanitizer, be sure to cover all surfaces of your hands generously and rub them together until dry.

Remember that hand sanitizer is not a substitute for washing your hands with soap and water, but it's a great backup option when you're in a pinch. For extra protection, consider keeping a small bottle in your car, purse, or backpack so you can easily access it when needed.

Use Disinfecting Wipes

Another option to keep your hands clean when you're on the go is to use disinfecting wipes.

These wipes are convenient and effective for removing germs and bacteria from surfaces such as doorknobs, shopping carts, and public transportation seats. The cleaner surfaces are around you, the less likely you will pick up harmful germs.

When using disinfecting wipes, read the label and follow the instructions carefully, as some varieties may require you to keep the surface wet for a certain amount of time to kill germs effectively.

Avoid Touching Your Face

In addition to using disinfecting wipes, avoiding touching your face as much as possible is crucial.

It's important to be mindful of the fact that germs can enter your body through your mouth, nose, and eyes. To minimize your risk of getting sick, avoid touching these areas with unwashed hands.

It may seem like a harmless habit, but the reality is that we touch our faces more often than we realize. Whether you're adjusting your glasses or scratching an itch, these actions can put you at risk of picking up germs.

To avoid touching your face, try keeping your hands occupied with a stress ball or fidget toy. If you do need to touch your face, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly first.

Practice Good Hygiene Habits

Another good habit to practice is to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don't have a tissue, use your elbow rather than your hands. This helps to prevent the spread of germs to others and keeps your hands clean.

In addition, try to avoid sharing personal items like towels, utensils, or phones with others. Germs can easily transfer from one person to another through these items. If sharing is unavoidable, make sure to clean the items thoroughly before and after use.

By practicing these simple hygiene habits, we can further protect ourselves from harmful germs and bacteria that may be lurking on our hands.

Final Thoughts

In today's world, keeping our hands clean has become more important than ever. Whether you're at home, work, or on the go, germs can lurk anywhere. But fear not, by following the practical tips outlined in this article, you can keep your hands clean no matter where you go.

Since covid I always have a bottle of hand sanitizer in the drinker holder of the car. I also have a plastic container of disinfecting wipes.

And I use them. When getting out of the car I use sanitizer and when I get back in
