You are driving down the road, your hands drumming on the steering wheel to your favorite song. Fresh coffee is sitting in the cup holder next to you. You remember shutting off the coffee maker as you grabbed your keys and headed out the door.

Uh oh! However, you can’t remember if you pressed your garage door opener, as you backed out of your driveway. Worry no more, having MyQ® Home Bridge will ease your mind, as it allows you to check the status of your garage door, no matter where you are.

Perfect Features For Your Home

MyQ® Home Bridge is a device that you can install either in your garage or anywhere nearby if it is within range of your WI-FI.  It has many features, including alerting you when your garage door opens and the ability to schedule times for when you want the garage door to open or close.

It even has the capabilities to turn the lights off and on with fun lighting accessories. It also is compatible with technologies, like Google Assistant, and even Apple HomeKit™. Apple HomeKit™ allows you to use Siri®, so a simple voice command is all it would take to open your garage door.

There are many smart devices on the market today. However, most of them have one main flaw – the app situation.

Typically smart devices have their own app. That means if you have multiple smart home devices you have to use several apps to control them. This can be quite annoying not to mention time-consuming. But since the MyQ® Home Bridge allows you to use technology like the Apple HomeKit™, I can control many of my smart devices from one easy to use app. I love it!

Great For Everyone!

MyQ® Home Bridge is a great device for a variety of people. It is even handy for those that are handicapped. It will make accessing the garage door easier because you will not even have to get up or move.

Simply use the device from anywhere in your home, to open the garage door when visitors arrive, and use it to then close the door afterward.

Perfect For The Everyday On-The-Go Family!

It is also great for families! The ability to schedule the garage door to close after the kids leave for school, and after they get off the bus and inside is a huge stress reliever. You will no longer have to worry if you will make it home in time because the MyQ® Home Brigde will be your own personal assistant. It will close the door when you aren’t there to remind your kids to do so.

If you don’t remember whether you closed the garage door before you left for the day, simply check the status of your device. There have been so many times where I panicked because we left for a long trip and I wasn’t sure if I closed the garage door. This is no longer an issue.

The MyQ® Home Bridge will help you stay connected with your home while away. There are no monthly fees, and it is compatible with both Android and iPhone users. You know, there are a lot of things in life that we have to decide if we really need them or not. The MyQ® Home Bridge is not something I’m willing to go without. It has been a lifesaver for me in so many ways, which I appreciate. I worry enough, and this helps take a lot of the insecurities of owning a garage, out of my life. If you don’t own the MyQ® Home Bridge, you need to!

  1. We don’t have a garage door opener on our garage, but I would love to get one installed one of these days 🙂

  2. This little machine is such a great way to avoid the stress of thinking and fixing it if you really did forget to close the garage. I will think about giving this as a present for the holidays.

    • I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left the garage door open. I would have to pray no one would get into our home and steal something.

  3. We really don’t have that much tech set up in our home to automate things but I really would love to see more! Thanks for the inspirations and ideas

  4. This is such a neat idea. I love that there is app that takes the stress away from guessing about garage door security. thanks for sharing!

    • I love the app more than anything. Definitely removes a lot of stress when you’re in a hurry.

  5. We don’t have a garage door, but I would love to get one installed one of these days when i finally get a garage.

  6. We don’t have a garage…although I’d love to have one. We only have a carport.

  7. We don’t have a garage; but, I have family that do. This would be a great upgrade for them to get away from the old school remotes that can come up lost!

    • The old remotes can be a pain! Batteries dies then they’re a special kind so it takes forever to find the battery to buy and then, like you said, they’re easy to lose.

  8. Reesa Lewandowski says:

We do not have a garage door but my parents do. I wonder if this would be good for them!

  9. That’s definitely going to make life easier. It’s something that I’d love to have at home! It’s also a great way to keep track of your home when you’re away.

    • Oh yes, it can act as a small type of security! It’s nice to see if someone is getting into your garage while away.

  10. This is a pretty cool idea! I like the fact that you can check if you forgot to close the garage door.. I do that a lot!

  11. Hmmm. This is an interesting gadget. We have something similar for our door locks.

  12. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve driven away and thought or asked, “Did I close the garage door” and then turned back. This would be super helpful. I’ll have to look into this, did they have something like this for the flat iron… asking for a forgetful friend. 🙂

    • hahaha! I sure wish they had it for everything in your house that could be dangerous if left on or open. I’m very forgetful when it comes to these things as well.

  13. Not sure about using too many tech gadgets, but this looks interesting

  14. Perfect timing for this post! We need a new garage door opener so I am thinking we should get one that works well with automation.

    • It’s a huge time saver and I couldn’t recommend it more. I leave the garage open too many times to count and now I don’t have to turn around to double check.

  15. How cool! My husband is really into automation and stuff like that so this is something he would love!

    • He sounds like my husband! I don’t blame him, it’s handy to have things covered while away.

  16. I need a new garage door opener right now! It makes such a difference when it’s not working!

  17. We don’t have an automatic garage door but this looks like such a great idea and easy to use. It’s has a lot of great features.

    • It’s definitely user-friendly. It has every feature you could dream of having for a garage door.

  18. I’m always a little apprehensive about wifi based home products because I’ve heard they can be easily hacked. However, they are really useful for families. It would be nice to be able to ensure your garage door is always closed and will opened for when the kids come home.

    • It’s not as easy to hack these types of things as people think. Not many people walking around are tech genius enough to pull off that level of a hack so I don’t worry much about that. I feel it’s easier to break into my garage when I’m not home than it is for them to hack my wifi based technology. 🙂

  19. This sounds like what I need for the house! It’s definitely easier especially when I’m going out and no one else is in the house.

    • It definitely makes a few things much easier! With my mom brain, I leave the garage door open too often.

  20. I think we need something like this in our house. It makes things easier for sure.

  21. Ok that is SO cool! I love how everything in your home can be “smart” these days! Even your garage door opener!

    • I never thought we would be such a tech family. However, this stuff is too great to pass up! Handy for sure!

  22. I’ve never been a very techie person. I typically wait for my husband but I would love to figure it all out so I can do it!

  23. This is the best product idea! We always wonder if we closed the garage door!! It’s also great for when you have kiddos coming in and out of the house to make sure the door is closed behind them. I absolutely need this!

    • Oh yes, being a parent means trying to remember things on the fly and wonder if the kids left doors open, ect. It definitely has saved me a ton of time and worry.

  24. This sounds super handy to have, especially with a family. I’m always questioning things when I’ve left the house so this would be a big help!

    • I am always questioning as well. It’s because you’re thinking about your family and its safety. This definitely helped ease my worries.

  25. This is super cool. I feel like this is something my husband would love. Going to check this out!

    • I know my husband loves ours! It’s a pretty handy gadget, especially if you’re forgetful like me and leave the garage door open all the time, ha!

  26. I would love to have some parts of my home automated, especially my garage. Thanks for sharing this I’m going to review it with my husband because I really think he’d enjoy having this kind of automation at his fingertips.

    • I don’t blame him if he DOES love it! I couldn’t be happier with it. Saves me a ton of time and worry.

  27. I can’t even imagine not having a garage door opener. It just makes it easier and quick to close behind you as well. Definitely a must for all with garages.

    • Oh yes, a garage door opener, in general, makes life just a little easier. This automated one is next level awesome, though!

  28. Crystal Rose says:

I could really go for a roomba. I’d also love to try the nest.

  29. Sandy Klocinski says:

I would love to have an Amazon Echo. A Netgear Arlo Q security camera would be great too

  30. Dana Rodriguez says:

We don’t have a garage but we have a carport. I have been looking at security cameras!

    • Security cameras are really handy. Especially because theft these days is getting out of hand.

  31. Donna Jacoby says:

We don’t currently have a garage so I can’t use this now. However, my grandmother had a garage door opener at her house and I remember how much we appreciated that on rainy and snowy days. Thank you for sharing!
