My kids have always been applesauce fans. Especially cinnamon applesauce. The flavors mingle perfectly almost like an apple pie. Making cinnamon applesauce at home is super easy with a crock pot too. All you do is toss everything in it and in no time your house will smell wonderful and a delicious snack will emerge in the process.
To make my homemade cinnamon applesauce I peeled my apples using an Electric Fruit Peeler. I've never peel an apple so fast in my life. It was amazing! I peeled 6 apples in no time flat. I just had to core them, cube, toss in the crock pot, and I was set. I am in love! I wish I would have of had this peeler when I made my Homemade Blueberry Veggie Applesauce. Things would have moved so much faster.
This Electric Fruit Peeler came with all the necessary instructions and a ton of extra blades. Two were stored underneath the peeler but I also received a baggie full of blades. It does need batteries or a charger cord to run which are not included. If you use batteries, I suggest keeping at least one battery removed when storing. You don't want to accidentally push the red button and it go off peeling away – at your hand. That would be bad.
To clean just use a wet, soapy cloth and wipe and rinse dry by hand. The machine doesn't get too dirty so this is quite painless.
I got my Electric Fruit Peeler from GearBest. It's a great place to get gadgets at a great price. My Electric Fruit Peeler is over $10 less at GearBest than the exact same one at Amazon. Now you know that's saying something.
I love making this applesauce and then storing them in food pouches for the kid's lunches. It saves so much money!
