How Teachers Are Exploring Online Teaching During the Pandemic

Technology has become a huge help during the pandemic. All over the world, people are relying upon technology to keep their work going. Even in the field of education, an intervention of the virtual world has become a thing with online teaching.

Online education has become a booming industry for millions of students and teachers. This means teachers are sharpening up their IT skills to make the most of their new online profession. To help students more, many teachers have also chosen to dabble in remote tutoring.

Learn how it helps teachers and students come together face to face over the internet.

“All students may not remember the teachings of their teachers, but they all remember the teachers.”
― Amit Kalantri

Aspects of Remote Tutoring

When it comes to eLearning, content means everything. If eLearning content is not masterfully designed, all the rest will just go down the drain.

– Christopher Pappas

Effectiveness

Online tutoring is both flexible and low cost, and highly effective too.

It is a great alternative to traditional classroom teaching since it offers a more in-depth engagement between the teacher and the student.

Plus, since online tutoring requires some technical knowledge, it helps students excel in more than one way.

The entire focus is on the teaching-learning process so there are fewer distractions, streamlining the process.

Equipping teachers with technology that will automate the boring work will enhance education and make it more powerful. Teachers can spend more quality time on what they are good at i.e teaching.

– Unni Koroth

Finding students

Finding students to tutor is easy online. Simply enroll yourself on a tutoring website to make your tutoring service reach more students at one time.

You could also post informational blog posts and videos about tutoring to find more students to tutor.

If all else fails, don't forget to reach out to the parents of past students to see if you can be of service.

To understand their world we must be willing to immerse ourselves in that world. We must embrace the new digital reality. If we can’t relate, if we don’t get it, we won’t be able to make schools relevant to the current and future needs of the digital generation.

– Ian Jukes

Teaching individual students versus groups

Online teaching is suitable for both individuals and groups. It is up to the teacher to decide which one they prefer.

Tutoring a group would allow you to impart your knowledge to more students at one time. It's also a great area to bring out games and fun while teaching.

However, some students need one to one teaching. This will help the student focus and get more personalized tutoring.

Television didn’t transform education. Neither will the internet. But it will be another tool for teachers to use in their effort to reach students in the classroom. It will also be a means by which students learn outside the classroom

– John Palfrey

Overall, online tutoring has become a reliable option for both students and teachers. It has become a necessity for students and a source of much-needed income for the teachers.

Have your kids ever used a tutor?
