Once women reach a certain age they start to become more aware of their aging. For me, this started when the foundation I'd been using for years started to settle in a crease beneath my eyes. This started to happen in my early thirties and I was not pleased.
I often wondered what I could do to get younger looking skin and stop those annoying fine lines. I was too young for most procedures and didn't really need to go that route at this point.
My answer was anti-aging products — a whole regimen of them.
I wanted to take good care of my skin, however, the problem was I have very sensitive skin and a skin condition to boot. Dermatologists are dumbfounded by my skin ‘thing' that I only can describe as a red, drying rash.
It extends over my nose like the typical butterfly rash seen in lupus but I tested negative for that.
Anyway, the point is that this ‘rash' is picky. It can only tolerate certain products and if it doesn't like something it flares to a bright red. Thankfully, I've been using the Skin Nation Anti Aging Bundle which my skin loves.
And, that's saying something considering most anti-aging products aggravate my ‘rash'. At one point, I even had to stop using any anti-wrinkle or aging products entirely because of this — that is — until now.
I am beyond thrilled I can once again do something good for my aging skin thanks to Skin Nation.
Included in the Skin Nation Anti Aging Bundle are FIVE Amazing Products:
Wrinkle Repair Cleanser
Your skin needs to be prepped in order to take in the maximum benefits of any skincare product. That means toning, exfoliating, and of course, cleansing your skin. This cleanser is packed with glycolic acid and fruit extracts to clean your skin deep down.
It is a nice and creamy texture and has a very similar smell to its partner the Wrinkle Repair Face Cream.
Best Toner Ever
The first time I used this toner, I could have sworn I was in a rose field and I was right (sort of). It contains a rose flower water that is a great anti-inflammatory.
Perfect for my ‘skin thing' and anyone that wants to tighten pores and prep your skin to its maximum potential.
Wrinkle Repair Face Cream
The consistency of this face cream is lighter than that of Ultra Glow but just as nice. This one is all about the alpha-hydroxy acids and its ability to help retexturize your skin. It is best used after you have prepped your face with the Wrinkle Repair Cleanser.
The lightness of this cream makes it perfect for a day cream, I think. Not too light, not too thick — just perfect. And, it goes well underneath makeup too!
l love that this exfoliator is gentle enough for everyday use. My ‘skin thing' is constantly sloughing off dead skin and if I want to put on foundation without it being cakey this step is a must.
This exfoliator is gel-like and is just as great at cleansing your skin as it is at exfoliating it. It contains glycolic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid) that is great at getting rid of dead skin cells and can stimulate collagen/elastin growth.
To me, it has a classic gentle cleanser scent (think Cetaphil).
Ultra Glow Age Defying Cream
This is a nice, thick retinol face cream that helps stimulate collagen growth. It's recommended to use at night for this reason, but in reality, can be used whenever you want (as long as you aren't planning on baking in the sun all day).
I like that this age-defying cream has some thickness too it. To me, it makes it feel more substantial and moisturizing that slapping on something that is more watery. Use it on your face, neck, and chest to get that extra ‘glow'.
Skin Nation Loves Aloe
After using and learning about this amazing Anti Aging Bundle, I came to notice each one of these products includes aloe. It had me wondering what is so special about aloe? I know it's great for sunburns but what else?
It turns out aloe packs a punch when it comes to nutrition for your skin. It contains vitamins like folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin B complex, and carotene. And, other goodies like flavones, phytosterols, polysaccharides, salicylic acid, and more.
All of these guys have amazing properties that help our skin:
- promote cell regeneration
- nourish the skin
- hydrate the skin
- immune boosting
- protect barrier
Are you loving aloe as much as I am now?
