Start by covering the service station with a fabric tablecloth. For table elements, pick plates, napkins, and cups with striped orange straws and matching utensils.
To add a finesse touch, you can even hang a dinosaur party garland on one of the walls of your venue and put your printer to good use by taking advantage of dinosaur party printables online.
But, make sure to 3M command hooks or painter’s tape to save your walls.
Dinosaur Party Ideas DIY Activities
Dino Egg Hunt
Fill your plastic eggs with stamps, dinosaur stickers, candy, or toys for larger prizes. Hide eggs all over the yard for guests to participate and find.
Moreover, consider assigning specific egg colors for guests for even prize distribution.
Make Fossil Dinosaur Party Favors
To make fossil party favors, mix ½ cup cold coffee, 1 cup used coffee grounds, ½ cup salt, and 1 cup flour. Divide them into four pieces and flatten the mixture with your hands.
Press sticks, shells, plastic dinosaurs, leaves into the coffee ground dough. Remember, you can even have your guests take them home as a party favor craft.
The Excavator
Mix plaster and pour it into paper milk cartons or old plastic containers. Insert small dinosaur toys and let the mixture dry for children to excavate.
You can even arrange mini hammers for the kids to chip away and discover what’s inside. Just don't forget their eye protection!
Cave People Stomp
For a cave people stomp, blow up all the balloons and attach them to a paper plate with tape. You can add yarn hair, faces, or paper arms to make them appear as cave people.
Optional: You can even make “dinosaur feet” with cardboard and tie them to every player’s shoe before they begin to stomp.
Jurassic Park Themed Food
Baby Pterodactyl Wings
When it comes to food, go with chicken (baby pterodactyl) wings or legs since these can be an ideal crowd-pleaser. Order take-out, make your own, or prepare frozen dinosaur-centric chicken nuggets.
Mini Nacho Volcanoes
For these nachos, use a 12-oz. paper cup (brown) and cut the bottom a half-inch. Place this side up and then place a 5-oz. plastic snack cup within.
Fill the cup with nacho cheese or red salsa and spill a bit of it around the volcano’s edges. After you’re done, serve on a plate surrounded by dinosaur-shaped chips.
Dino Juice
The most straightforward version of such a beverage is to purchase Hawaiian Punch Green flavor.
