Tips for Jazzing Up Your Kitchen with a New Faucet

Buying a new kitchen sink faucet can be exciting as well as overwhelming. Since the latest designs and complicated features are easy to leave anyone bewildered, don’t worry about this. Instead, your focus should be on making it a part of your kitchen. It makes sense because all the little and significant tasks in your cooking area usually begin and end at the sink. To complete your daily chores, you have to choose a faucet that can accomplish your everyday kitchen tasks. Finding a quality kitchen faucet with a sprayer should be your ultimate goal.

Various online stores offer excellent kitchen faucet deals and designs. Before you allow yourself to get emotionally invested in your faucet choice, keep these factors in mind.

Wanting to swap out an old faucet to give your kitchen a new look? Take these factors into consideration! Click To Tweet

BUYING A FAUCET WITH SPRAYER FOR YOUR KITCHEN

A lot of people choose a faucet based on its looks. If the design is appealing, they believe it to be the best choice. However, this is a mistake you should avoid.

Yes, appearance is important, but it cannot be the top deciding factor. Its appearance has nothing to do with its ease of use or performance.

Take these elements into consideration as well:

Spout Height and Reach of Kitchen Faucets

Faucets can have varying heights and reach. Most people just look at it and decide if it feels comfortable to use or not. But you have to keep a few things in mind.

Do you have a shelf above your kitchen sink or multiple bowls? This will affect what height your faucet should be.

Ceramic Valves

Leaky faucets are one of the most common and annoying problems with plumbing fixtures. It can happen for two reasons, either the design was shoty, or installation was done poorly.

Top brands use ceramic valves in their faucets to deal with this issue. It’s a design feature that helps prevent leaks and doesn’t cost extra, so be sure your faucet has it.

Sink Faucet Finish

Popular finish choices are stainless steel, chrome, and brass. Every finish has its pros and cons. but stainless steel is most loved for its durability, trust, and performance. It can also go with any décor.

Look for stainless steel finishes that are spot-free. Smudges, fingerprints, and water spots can get annoying fast.

Number of Sinkholes

Most pull-down faucets come with single handles. If you have a double-handle faucet right now, it would be best to check how many holes are there in the sink. Usually, there can be three of them – two for the right and left handles and one for the spout where it sits.

Some companies offer an optional deck plate to cover the unused holes. You can read the product details to find if this is available or not. Otherwise, transitioning from a double handle to a single lever can be slightly challenging.

Some people use the additional hole for installing a soap dispenser. Still, the best solution is to buy from a brand that offers a deck plate also. It saves you money as well as unnecessary installations.

Single Handle Kitchen Faucets

Some people really love double-handle faucets. However, single levers are more convenient, save space, and often give you better control over water temperature.

Going by all this, most likely a pull-down faucet with a sprayer can be the ideal solution for your kitchen.

No matter what you choose, you have to make sure you buy it from a trusted store and brand. Happy shopping!

Do you know how to install a kitchen sink faucet?
