Do you know what it’s like to have acne? I never did until last year. When I was a teenager, I would have the occasional breakout but nothing that resembled a pizza face. Sometimes my forehead would have a complete meltdown due to the bad bang choice, but it was easily remedied with a hair clip. I never had an awful time with pimples. I don’t know what caused it. Possibly living in a new state during a new season? Hormones? I have no clue.

All I know is multiple face products did not help. Washing my face more did not help. Stopping birth control did not help. I even went to the dermatologist, and their spot treatment just seemed to make things worse. It was just money down the drain. Time is the only thing that has helped me some. It would have been nice to have tried something like Differin® Gel, and now I have my chance!

Differin® Gel contains the first and only prescription strength retinoid Adapalene that can help clear and prevent acne available over the counter. I got mine at my local Walmart. It’s the newest advancement and ingredient in the OTC acne category in over 30 years! Instead of just being a spot treatment, Differin® Gel helps to prevent breakouts before they start and, as a result, helps to restore skin’s texture and tone. It is perfect for anyone with mild to moderate acne. Me, me, ME!

To make sure my face is primed for Differin® Gel I created a DIY Lavender and Jojoba Foaming Face Wash. It’s super easy to make and has a very relaxing scent. The lavender essential oil has the ability to soothe skin and calm nerves without causing dryness or irritation, while the jojoba oil acts as a carrier delivering treatments deep into the pores. It’s a win, WIN!
