reading eggsMy son and I have had a great time exploring the Reading Eggs online reading program over the past three months. The idea of Reading Eggs is simple and a great one! It is a fabulous place where children 3-7 year olds can learn to read online by doing activities, games, and more that are tailored to your child's learning level. Their program did a great job making reading fun and entertaining for my six year old son. He has never really been into reading, but he loved doing this program.

The assessment that your child takes before beginning the program is so that your child will begin his or her lessons at the correct level. It was pretty accurate to what level my son's school assessments said he was at.

As your child progresses through the lessons they collect eggs and get positive feedback from cute animations and songs. My son thought the animations were funny. He was always laughing at them. They weren't too annoying for me either. The eggs they collect are used to play games. Genius! My son loved this! He could play whatever games he wanted with the eggs he earned with his hardwork. Parents also get email updates of what their child has learned on Reading Eggs and how they are progressing.

Reading Eggs offers a 14 day trial so you can see if their program meets your needs. And if it does you can purchase a 12 month subscription for $75 or a 6 month subscription for $49.95. Do your children like to read or have you read to them? What do you think is the best learning method to teach children to read?

She should! At least try the trial and see if you like it. Can’t hurt 🙂
