The placebo was a faux fragrance used in the study, while the other men had been given the actual pheromone, Pherazone. The men who received Pherazone saw a 90% increase in advances toward them, while the control group noticed only a 10% increase.

It seems that there is evidence out there for the use of pheromones and how they can influence a date. We only have to try them to see the results whether or not the pheromone made the difference will be of little consequence if we were successful in our date.
