Buying gifts can be HARD. We all like and need different things. It often helps to try to look at potential gifts through the eyes of the person you’re buying for.
When someone mentions something they like I jot it down on my phone and save the idea for a rainy day. This way I’m not completely clueless when it comes time to buy a gift.
However, sometimes it’s not so easy. You see — my mother in law is a cat person. She loves real cats and anything that has a cat on it. She has received, I’m sure, countless items with cats on them and sometimes I fear this gets old.
I mean — you can only have so many of something before you’re sick of it, right?
That’s why I love photo gifts! I don’t care how many photo gifts you receive, you’re going to love them all. Why? Because they are fond memories of loved ones and your life.
So this year instead of getting my mother in law something cat-related for her birthday, I decided to make her a photo blanket from CanvasDiscount.com. It was SO easy to do. I just created a collage of all of her grandkids, uploaded it to their site, chose the size/effect, and bought it!
I couldn’t be happier with the results — it turned out perfect 🙂
It arrived quickly to my door and is SO very soft. I also had the option of adding text to my custom photo blanket but decided against it. Their cute little faces are worth a thousand words and a lifetime of memories.
