My family and I are huge pizza fans. We probably eat it so often I’m surprised we aren’t sick of it yet. We usually go for the five dollar sort of pizzas just to save money but occasionally we splurge on pizzas decked out with meat. It gets old picking up luke warm pizzas. The pizza I picked up from Marco’s Pizza today was piping hot though. It about burned my legs on the drive home. SO worth it!
The are few things I consider when rating the pizzas I eat. First off the crust has to be soft and have flavor. The sauce shouldn’t be bitter. And all of the flavors of the entire pizza should meld well together.
Marco’s Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza and Cheese Pizza with Spinach did all of the above. Marco’s Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza is topped with grilled chicken, parmesan garlic sauce, four cheeses, chopped red onions, fresh spinach and sliced tomatoes on fresh never frozen dough made daily.
Let me tell you it’s very tasty. I ordered mine without red onion because I am not a fan of onions on pizza but everything else tasted beautifully together. To me it almost had a alfredo sauce undertone which was delightful with the chicken and spinach mixture.
Marco’s Cheese Pizza (three cheeses) with Spinach was also very good. I’m surprised more pizza places don’t offer it as a topping. It’s super healthy and everything tastes great with cheese. That’s one of the reason’s I love my Spinach Feta Flatbread Pizza.
The one thing that’s a little tricky with Cheese Pizza with Spinach is that they seem to top the dough with the spinach first and then the cheese. It can make biting into the pizza a bit difficult. Both of my boys bit into the pizza only to have everything slide right off. So make sure you thoroughly bite all the way through the pizza or else it might all end up on your plate. Otherwise it’s fantastic.
Marco’s Pizza has a very good crust. I judge a pizza a lot by its crust and Marco’s is way up there. Very similar to that chain with the little red house logo. Maybe even better.
