People probably think we are a little pet crazy. We have four female siamese mixed cats ranging in age from one to five years old.
These ladies run the house and we are merely their faithful servants.
Then there is our one-year-old border collie pup, Oreo. She’s always smiling and just wants to make us happy.
Oh and not to mention, the fish (some of which just had babies), the hamsters and their babies, or the guinea pigs my son wants to get this summer.
We love all types of animals as you can tell. In my opinion, a home is not complete without a pet, but people often forget just how much of a commitment a pet really is.
You have to care for her just like you would any other member of your family. That means she needs the best of everything including food. The sun is shining but is your pet’s coat?
Introducing NomNomNow
NomNomNow is a premium fresh pet food delivery service that is specifically customized to your pet’s weight goals. After entering your pet’s specs on their easy to use website — before you know it — perfectly pre-portioned, fresh homemade real food will arrive at your door.
And, when they say ‘fresh’ they mean fresh. Their food is made to order and delivered within days of making it so it’s never frozen. It is made with restaurant-quality ingredients that you can literally see.
Each packet has the perfect amount of calories for your pet.
Veterinarian Formulated
NomNomNow’s expert, Justin Shmalberg DVM, just happens to be the leading veterinary nutritionist in the United States. He believes good nutrition is the best way to prevent chronic diseases in our pets.
And, to me, that makes complete sense. A healthy diet is fundamental to anyone’s (including our pet’s) overall health. Typically, the healthier you eat the healthier you are, right?
Benefits of a Fresh Diet During Summer
Improved skin and coat. Due to the great balance of essential fatty acids and oils in NomNomNow, your pet’s skin and coat will be shinier, softer, and overall healthier than ever. That means your pet won’t be suffering from itchy or dry skin which can be particularly annoying in the summer heat.
More energy. Heat can be very draining. That’s why it’s great that NomNomNow is easier for your pet to digest. The more nutrients she can absorb from her food the more energy she will have.
Plus your pet will be more excited to eat in general. As temperatures rise, pet appetites often decrease but NomNomNow brings back your pet’s excitement about food despite the heat.
Better overall mood and health. NomNomNow is free of preservatives, fillers, and never frozen. So with every bite, your pet will be getting the right mix of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and carbs. This helps keep your pet’s weight down and her immune system strong and healthy.
Why We Loved NomNomNow
Healthy and convenient. Most people are lazy. Just like fast food is more convenient and easier than making a homemade meal so is buying store bought kibble for our pets. Making a homemade meal whether for humans or pets takes time. Time a lot of us just don’t have.
You’ve heard the saying ‘fresh is best’ and this means for our pets too. Thankfully, NomNomNow makes it so easy for your pets to get the best, fresh food and you don’t even have to make it. Order it weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly with free shipping.
For cats and dogs. NomNomNow provides fresh food for dogs and cats. So many companies solely focus on dogs which is a bummer. We have four cats that we absolutely adore and we are so glad that they now have a company that is also thinking of them.
A variety of recipes. We received a variety pack for dogs (Heartland Beef Mash, Chicken Chow-Wow, Porkalicious Potluck, and Tasty Turkey Fare) and a variety pack for cats (Chicken Chow-Meow and Flavorful Fish Feast). Don’t you love the names?
As soon as, I placed NomNomNow in a bowl all of my animals were intrigued. They started sniffing around trying to figure out what that amazing smell was.
And, I have to admit it didn’t turn my nose up as some other pet foods can.
Oreo’s first impression was that of any dog — she gobbled it straight down. No hesitation just flat out gobbling — she loved it. Oreo can be a picky eater too especially when it comes to kibble.
I often have to ‘doctor’ it up with wet foods and water (or convince her the cat is going to eat it) otherwise the ants get to it before she does.
However, with NomNomNow, based on her size, Oreo received a full bag of NomNomNow plus her current kibble twice a day.
This was perfect for us. I already was used to mixing her food and this is way healthier for her.
The cats were a bit pickier than Oreo, but NomNomNow gives some wonderful suggestions on how to transition cats to new food on their website.
While the food takes some time transition to the cats had no problems eating up NomNomNow Jerky Treats right away.
Literally, they were trying to break into the bag and I had to hide it from them. Every time I turned around, they were over there trying to chew through the bag.
If you consider yourself a pet parent, NomNomNow is for you.
They are the only pet food company that pre-portion meals specific for the pet and delivers fresh. If you have questions, they have answers and is a brand that I can say I honestly trust.

My old cat loved freeze dried chicken livers.
My dog loves those too!
i feed my dog only great dog food that i review myself and read other reviews. i take them to vet on reg visits
What dog food do you like to use?
Wish we could afford more of a fresh diet for our 3 dogs. We feed them Just 6 since it has only healthy ingredients & occasionally give them approved fruits & veggies or healthy treats.
Fresh diets are expensive, but it sounds like you do a good mix.
I feed my cat a bit of wet food in the morning and dry food at night. Sometimes my husband will cook her some liver as a treat.
Dogs and cats both love liver. Yuck lol!
I feed my cat canned food that has lots of gravy. Otherwise, she refuses to eat it. It has been very challenging to find foods that she and I agree on.
I hear wet food is great for extra hydration!
We have been feeding our dog Beneful dry dog food. She is getting older now so we have been talking about a new diet for her. I will be checking this out. Thank you so much for sharing
A fresh diet would be great for an aging dog. They often need a change at that point in life to keep things interesting foodwise for them.
I feed my dog PC Nutrition First grain free. He really likes it and its been good to him, he is 15 years old and still going.
I have never heard of that dog food before but it must be doing something right!
My cats eat Purina. Every time I have tried something else it upset their stomach.
So glad they are true Purina fans!
I feed my pets a mixture of fresh foods and pet foods. I’ve recently picked up some CBD drops for their emotional well being.
I have heard good things about CBD and pets!
I add a raw food topper to my dog’s food, as well as a natural supplement. I do the very best I can to give him a healthy diet.
What kind of raw food topper does your dog like?
I’ve been giving him Tru Dog, but I’m not happy with their alarmist and aggressive emails, so I am looking into alternate brands.
I haven’t heard of that company. I will have to check them out.
Our dog eats EVERYTHING ! Yes I am guilty but when he looks at me eating ….with those eyes I just can not help but give him some
That’s great your pup isn’t a picky eater!
My cat is really partial to the food she eats. Thanks for sharing this interesting idea.
What kind of food does your cat like?
I feed fur baby homemade food. I throw some meat (chicken, turkey, beef, organ meats), a few veggies, a little fruit and a carbohydrate source (rice, pasta, beans) in the crock pot and cook it on low for 6 to 8 hours. He is a chihuahua so that will feed him for a week or two. I freeze individual portions for him. At feeding time I add a vitamin/mineral supplement. I keep him healthy by keeping him at a healthy weight, making sure he gets enough exercise and feeding him a balanced, nutritious diet
Sounds like your pup is spoiled and so loved!! A lot of people don’t take the time for all that but I am so glad you do.
I feed my dog Sandee pedigree dry she has at all times then she gets a can for dinner. I buy all different brands and flavors
Sounds like your pup loves everything!
NO pets allergy to fur
I’m glad to hear you don’t have any pet allergies!
NO pets allergy to fur
I have allergies to pets, but I do love them. If I had a dog I’d walk it everyday to keep it healthy. Possibly a cat would like that as well. Feeding them healthy food is important as well.
I’m sorry to hear you are allergic to animals. Have you tried medications?
I feed my dog Sandee dry dog food all the time, it’s always in her bowl, usually Pedigree. I give her either a small can or half a can of moist food for dinner every day, all different brands and flavors. I keep her healthy the vet said she’s healthy and she’s 15 years old. I give her cojointin for her arthritis and a buffered aspirin when she needs it. She gets vitamin E each day
15 is a great age!! Sounds like you take very good care of her. I hope my dog gets to see that number. She’s not even 2 yet lol.
I had a dog, Desirae, for many many years. She was about a year old when I first got her, and she always ate Iams Dog Food. That’s what she was used to, so I just never changed brands. As she got older, I knew I wanted to get another puppy, and I wanted Desirae to be around to help with training. She is now in heaven, but I see her in the new puppy constantly! Groot is just over 2 now, and has also always ate the same food, Iams. I always worry about changing his food, as it can cause problems. But over the past year or so, I’ve read and heard SO MUCH about fresh food and all its benefits for dogs, that I wanted to slowly introduce more of it into my dogs diet. This company seems to provide all you need in an easy, convenient package. Must try!!
LOVE the name Groot! I may have to steal the name for a future pet lol.
I don’t have any pets right now sadly. I’ll keep this in mind though for the future in case I get a pet.
What pet would you get?
NO pets to feed……………… But I got visit, borrow from family any time
Do you not like animals?
i now my dog would eat this my cat i do not know she picky eater but they Purina dog and cast food
True, cats are a lot pickier than dogs.
This looks like great cat food. I have 3 indoor cats but I can’t change up the food or my 18 year old gets sick.
18 is a good age for a cat. My oldest passed away not too long ago at almost 14. She had a stroke 🙁
NO pets so no feeding them.
We have always fed our dog Pedigree adult health. I have read a lot about the fresh food idea. I would love to try this with her. She is getting very old so I have to be careful with her
That’s true – changing foods can be hard for older pets.
Feeding good dog and cat food will save you and your pet from many medical issues, always consult with your vet about the proper foods that will work best for the particular pet. Feeding a combination of wet food (which helps hydration) and dry food will help with any mouth teeth issues that may occur. In addition to using good pet food exercise is important!
Sounds like you know a lot about animals!
I feed my dog Sandee Pedigree hard all day. She always had it in her bowl and at dinner she gets a can or half a can depending on it’s size I get all different kinds and flavors and she loves it. She’s 15 and the vet says she’s very healthy
My cat eats everything, he likes canned fish.. also sometimes eggs. He’s eating Canadian purina cat food right now.
Awesome! Most cats are so picky.
I feed my guinea pig a mixture of fresh vegetables and pet foods.
I do the same with our hamsters 🙂
I feed my pets Science Diet and I keep them healthy by visiting the vet regularly. Thanks for sharing!
Vet visits are a must!
We no longer have any pets, since our fur baby of 12 years passed away a few years ago. But we always fed him Iams. I’ll have to pass along the info in this post to my sister-in-law. I’m not sure what they feed their labradoodle.
I’m sorry for your loss! We lost our oldest fur baby a couple years ago too. She was almost 14 🙁
i will feed my pets the proper food based on the time oday. and i will keep them healthy by taking them out for walk every day.
That’s great – most dogs love walks!
My cat gets a tablespoon of wet food in the morning and a serving of dry food at night. My dog gets dry food morning and night. Sometimes they get something special.
What’s the special something?
I do not have a pet, but I used to feed my cat scraps that I would save from working at Red Lobster. She loved the salmon (especially the skin) but any fish would do. She very quickly refused to eat anything else but lived to be 23. I think her fish diet had much to do with it.
Wow, 23 is really old for a cat. I hope mine make it that long!!
My cats and dog eat Halo; it’s simple, well- balanced, and only has chicken (no meal) and other wholesome ingredients. I also have a bearded dragon; he eats veggies, worms, and cockroaches.
Sounds like you have a nice mix of pets just like our household 🙂
We have used Pedigree for a long time. This sounds like something our dog would really like. We will have to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing
Your dog will love NomNomNow!
I’m on 3 allergy shots a month + Singular + Zyrtec + a Steroid to put in my nasal wash + a inhaler. I can’t ever have furry or feathery pets, no matter how much it would be fun to have them. I had nose surgery two years ago. Polyps were by my eyes and brain. I have too many problems with allergies and asthma.
Ouch! I’m so sorry about your allergy problems. I think there are some hypoallergenic breeds you could try if you really wanted a dog or cat.
There are breeds that have less hair shedding, but it’s a rumor that there are dogs or cats that are ok for allergies.
Ah, I see
My cat is very fussy with canned food and I do try different brands. I make sure they are high quality. She enjoys dry cat food better and I do buy the best high quality brands for her also.
I’m surprised. I have to limit my cats’ wet food or that’s all they would eat and make themselves sick lol.
I don’t understand either why she will only take a tiny bit of canned food, but runs to her dry food!
I guess everyone is entitled to their preferences
We lost our dog a few years ago, but we used to buy her dog food at Target. As she got older, we would buy softer food to make it easier for her to chew. I didn’t know much about dog nutrition back then, but really want to learn more before we add another pet to our family.
I’m to hear about the loss of your pup!
We have 3 dogs, so the food bill gets expensive. We give ours half dry food (premium, usually) and half fresh (leftover meat, veggies, gravy). We had 2 dogs live to be 16 years old.
Sounds like the way my dad feeds his dogs. They are all pretty old too!
I used to think – we don’t have a pet to feed, but we now have a leopard gecko named Sunny as of last week. All he was fed is mealworms. We just started giving him small crickets too.
Sounds like a neat pet to have! What made you choose a gecko?
A student didn’t want their gecko anymore. I’m allergic to anything furry or feathery, so we took the gecko home.
I remember catching lizards as a kid
i try to find good food with inggredients i can [ronounce
That’s always a good rule of thumb for any nutrition labels!
Awesome
My only pet is a rabbit, but I feed her lots of fresh greens. I even grow lettuce especially for her.
Sounds like one lucky rabbit!
I haven’t had a pet in several years. These kind of diets were not available.
Do you plan on getting a new pet?
My spoiled babies passed away a number of years ago. Each of them was over 15 years old guess I was doing something right.
I’m sorry your fur babies are now gone. I don’t want to think about that day 🙁
Nomnomnow sounds like a great service for your pets! I may have to consider ordering from them. I feed my pets Purina.
You should try it – they may love it!
I have never heard of this before, but it definitely sounds like amazing food for your pets! We only have a cat at the moment but we feed her really good food and no grains at all.
Sounds like you are doing your best for your fur baby!
I usually feed our dog the brand that is sold at Aldi’s, he seems to like it. We keep him healthy by getting his shots and regular vet visits.
Regular vet checkups are a great way to keep your pet healthy!
My dog doesn’t eat kibble anymore and I often make his dinner for him. I would love to try this as it would definitely be more convenient and I love the ingredients.
NomNomNow would be a great help to your family – it’s so convenient!
Your pets are so cute. This pet food delivery service sounds very useful.
Thank you! We love our ladies!
visit vet and keep the cats indoor.
We keep our cats indoors too. We’ve made that mistake before 🙁
Feeding good dog and cat food will save you and your pet from many medical issues, always consult with your vet about the proper foods that will work best for the particular pet. Feeding a combination of wet food (which helps hydration) and dry food will help with any mouth teeth issues that may occur. In addition to using good pet food exercise is important!
Great tips! A fresh diet helps too
visit vet and keep the cats indoor.
Our cats are inside cats too
A fresh diet would be great for an aging dog. They often need a change at that point in life to keep things interesting foodwise for them.
My younger dogs love it too
I have never heard of this company before. Such a great idea. We love our dog and want the best for her. I will be checking this out.
You will love nomnomnow
its healthier to feed them fresh food
Yes it is and they love eating a fresh diet
Great review! Feeding your pet a healthy diet will provide benefits throughout the pets life! This is also a way to get your elderly pets a good healthy meal when they are of the age that chewing becomes difficult!
That’s true a fresh diet is easier to eat than dry kibble
