To treat my husband on Father's Day I decided to do something a little different. He's always been a fan of orange sherbet, creamsicles, and just plain loves orange soda but rarely actually gets these things. I know it's probably my fault. Okay, Okay. It is MY fault! I do the shopping and orange flavored treats and drinks aren't my thing but Father's Day is a day he deserves to be spoiled with everything he loves. To help cool him off and quench that craving I made him an Orangesicle Float.
To make it more special I placed the Orangesicle Float in a heavy duty personalized mug. This mug by Personal Creations is called “Established Oversized Beer Mug“. It features nice thick glass, a sturdy handle, and a starburst base.
I personalized it with the word “Dad” and added my children's birthdays. I absolutely love it! It was the perfect companion to my Orangesicle Float. The mug holds 25 ounces so my husband indulged a bit this Father's Day which he SO deserves. He is the most amazing father to our kids. I really couldn't ask for more in that department. He is our everything!
I love that you can change the word “Dad” to anything you want (up to 10 characters) and have up to 12 Est. dates. This makes it perfect for large families and grandparents too. It's a superb quality mug that anyone would love! Check out other great gifts for men.
To make my Orangesicle Float I used creamy vanilla ice cream and a combination of Crush and Fanta Orange Soda. I had a 7.5 oz can of Crush and a 12 oz bottle of Fanta on hand so what I did was use the entire can of Crush and about half the bottle of Fanta.
It gives it that perfect creamsicle orangeyness when combined with sweetness of the ice cream. It's the perfect way to cool off in this Texas heat!
