Top 5 Organic Foods to Boost your Immune System Against COVID-19

With the year we’ve had so far, it’s no wonder so many people are looking to give their body a proper immune boost. Fortunately, getting the right nutrition can help. Getting a good dose of fresh fruits and vegetables is a great way to stay healthy and keep your immune system strong.

To help reduce the ever-lingering threat of COVID-19, here are the top five organic foods that will boost your immune system.

Broccoli

Packed full of vitamins and minerals, you really can’t go wrong with having lots of broccoli in your diet. It contains vitamins A, C, and E, fiber, along with antioxidants.

This is probably one of the best vegetables you can eat! However, if you are looking for rapid cellular uptake, vitamin c liposomal liquid is your best bet as it bypasses the gut.

Research suggests that steaming is the way to go when it comes to cooking these vegetables, as it helps retain all the nutrients. It’s easy to cook and delicious to eat; simply serve it with a piece of meat and some more vegetables, and you’re good to go!

Now more than ever, it's important for your immune system to stay in tip-top shape during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are 5 immune system boosting foods you should check out! Click To Tweet

Spinach

This leafy green isn’t often the first choice on the menu in many households, yet it offers many benefits.

It’s rich in vitamin C and also full of antioxidants and beta carotene. Both of these work together to support your immune system and fight off diseases.

Are you looking for some cooking inspiration? Why not try a spinach and sausage pie, add it to some pasta, or mix it into a green smoothie? There are plenty of ways to make this veggie tasty.

Red bell peppers

Many people are aware of the immune-fighting power that comes with vitamin C. What’s less known is that red bell peppers actually have three times as much of this vitamin as an orange! That’s a staggering difference.

Why not chop some up and pop it into a stir fry, or roast it in the oven for some extra flavor with your meat? It’s a simple way to get your daily dose of this essential vitamin.

Garlic

Who doesn’t love a little (or big) dose of garlic in their food? It adds the perfect flavor and can be used in almost any savory dish. Plus, it’s excellent for your health as well.

Garlic can help fight off infections, thanks to its massive concentrations of sulfur-containing compounds. Either way, you can’t go wrong with adding a little more to your meals!

Citrus fruits

This is the obvious one that most people turn to when attempting to fight off a cold or illness. Vitamin C in citrus fruits can help produce more white blood cells, which helps fight off infections.

There are so many to choose from, including grapefruit, oranges, lemons, limes, and more. Your body doesn’t store vitamin C, which means a daily dose is the best idea to keep you as healthy as possible.

Wondering where to get your daily dose of fruit and veggies? With more people staying home than ever before, an online fruit and vegetable subscription is the way to go.

Farmbox Direct is the best produce delivery business, bringing you a weekly new selection so you can pick and choose your organic vegetables and customize your order every time.

It’s a safe, hassle-free way to shop and make sure your body gets the right dose of fruit and vegetables to protect your immune system. Stay safe!
