party more

How often do you celebrate for pretty much no reason? We all have parties and events when we expect to exchange gifts and let our hair down each year. The festive season is a great chance to have fun, and there are tons of “important” days throughout the calendar, such as birthdays and anniversaries.

However, you shouldn’t have to find an excuse for partying more often. The truth is that everyone deserves an opportunity to celebrate whenever they see fit – whether that means throwing a cocktail party or just buying yourself a gift.

Spending Time with Friends is Good for You

Spending time with friends in a party setting is one of the best things you can do for your mental and physical health. Experts say that people with a strong social network are more likely to live longer and avoid various diseases.

Plus, laughing with your pals is an excellent way to reduce stress and tackle various other forms of mental illness too.

Throwing the occasional party gives you and your loved ones a chance to relax, catch up about important things, and have some extra fun.

It’s an opportunity to embrace the moments you love most with the people you care about.

Hosting Parties Improves Your Problem-solving Skills

Let’s face it, no matter how carefully you plan; there’s always a good chance that something is going to go wrong during virtually any party you throw.

Practicing your hosting skills won’t guarantee that you never have another problem with your events, but it will mean that you’re better equipped to deal with the stress these panic moments can bring.

The more celebrations you’re responsible for, the more you’ll learn how to think outside of the box to overcome issues when they arise.

This could mean that you’re better at solving problems in other areas of your life too. Why not put your party skills to the test?

Retail Therapy Can be Fun

Need an excuse to buy yourself something fun but don’t want to spend for no reason? Buy yourself a gift as part of a celebration instead.

You can set yourself a budget before you start planning to ensure that you don’t go over what you can afford and give yourself the freedom to feel completely comfortable with spending that extra cash.

Between coordinating music, providing enough food and booze, and managing RSVPs, it’s no secret that throwing a party of any size can be super stressful. But it does have MAJOR benefits too - check out some of them here! Click To Tweet

You could even ignore the party part of the celebration entirely and reward yourself with a present as part of a self-focused event.

For instance, why not get yourself a gift when you go six months without a drink, or buy yourself something for making an important step in your career?

Gift Cannon has some great ideas for stuff like this, but obviously, you can’t just buy yourself things all the time; there are just moments when it’s worth treating yourself.

Parties Give You Something to Look Forward to

It’s easy to feel like you’re stuck in a rut when you’re doing the same thing week after week, month after month. Parties are a chance for you to change up your routine every once in a while and do something a little different.

They can give you a point of focus, so you’re less likely to feel depressed or overwhelmed during boring parts of the year. They’re also an excellent opportunity to blow off some steam if you’ve had a couple of, particularly problematic weeks.

If you know that you generally have a difficult time during certain parts of the year, those moments could be the best times to plan your impromptu parties. Go wild and go club-hopping with your friends, or enjoy class and sophistication with a few glasses of wine.

You might end up getting a tomato red face (which you can avoid with an Asian flush pill) or you might not remember a thing at all. But the best drunk moments are always memorable when you're with the right people.

They’ll take your mind off whatever might be bothering you during those stages, and they’ll give you somewhere to focus all of your uncomfortable energy.

You’ll Sleep Better

Finally, have you ever wondered why you sleep so well after hosing an amazing party?

Part of it might be linked to the extra glasses of wine you drink when you’re celebrating or the fact that you don’t get to fall into bed until a much later hour.

However, planning things, like celebrations, also focuses your energy on something more productive, so you’re less likely to feel restless each day.

When you have a project in mind, you can make the most of all the physical and mental energy you have each day, which means fewer nights spent lying awake and staring at the ceiling.

You could find that the more you plan, the better your sleeping patterns become.

Plus, don’t forget that the mood boost of the party can help with your sleeping too!

What is your favorite thing about hosting a party?
