Babies are angels sent from above; their tiny feet and little heads are the most adorable things in the world. A baby shower should be filled with cute little surprises for the mommy-to-be and fun activities for the other guests.
I have never had a baby shower but I have been to many.
If you are throwing a party, there could be many things you are confused about. Making decisions about food, games, decoration, favors, and invites may get complicated. Here we have compiled a few tricks to ace your planning and become the best host ever.
Keep the menu interesting
The guests who have been invited to the party will have different tastes. Therefore, you should include a variety of dishes on the menu. Make something for everyone.
Also, make sure to customize a few food items. Cupcakes can be easily decorated to meet the theme of the party. You can also get customized plates, cups, and forks to add a little fun!
Don’t go overboard with the decorations
Simple is pretty; so make sure that you don’t fill the room with a million ‘onesies’. If you know the gender of the baby, don’t go crazy with too much pink or blue. That can get annoying. Just opt for a different color which will look good with the overall interior of the place.
Purple or green would look classy for a baby shower’s color theme. You can also decorate the room with ribbons, balloons, and banners of funny phrases.
Show your creativity with invites
Set the standards for your party even before it has started. Invitations need to be carefully designed so that the guests would be willing to come to the event just by looking at a creatively-made initiation card.
You can use template websites that have all kinds of designs, and also baby shower invitations templates editable design so that you can customize it the way you want.
You can also make fun themed invites such as a bow tie baby shower invitation card.
Make ‘games’ the highlight of the event
At a baby shower, you have tons of options to choose for fun activities and games. One great game suggestion is “Don’t Say the Word Baby”. You can start by giving diaper pins to each guest. Now explain to your guests not to say the word ‘baby’ (which would be quite hard considering it’s a baby shower). So whoever catches someone saying ‘baby’ gets a pin. The person with the most pins wins at the end of the party.
You can design a special brooch for the winner. Other games such as Pictionary, ‘Baby Items In The Bag’ ‘Guess the Baby Food’and ‘Feed the Baby’ are also fun.
Make the mommy feel special
The woman who has to give birth to a beautiful human being should be given special attention. While the baby gifts will bring a smile to her face, don’t just make the day about her baby. Make her feel important too! Plan a special foot massage for her or even a mani-pedi. The options are unlimited. You just need to select the one which she would love the most!
A baby shower is an opportunity for the mother’s friends and family to let her know that something wonderful is going to happen in her life. Just shower the mommy with all the love and happiness you can, and make her day filled with beautiful memories!
