I am awful at math. Unless it's low number adding or subtracting I'm whipping out my calculator on my phone to figure it out. Math was by far my least favorite subject and you can really tell when I am trying to bake.
Fractions were never my friend and trying to convert ounces to grams or cups to teaspoons is just way over my head. Thankfully, my Sili Bake Pastry Mat fixes that problem for me.
The Sili Bake Pastry Mat is a mat meant for rolling out dough but the super cool thing is that it has all kinds of conversions printed directly on it. There's oven temperature conversions, liquid measurement conversions, and weight conversions. All of which can come in SO handy when baking.
The mat also features circles so you know how large to make pie or cookie dough to get a certain size. I can never figure out how big to make dough balls to get 2 inch cookies but now I don't have to think about it. Nice!
The Sili Bake Pastry Mat would of been nice to have when I was making my Firecracker Pinwheel Cookies. Especially when rolling out the dough to make a rectangle shape. Having ruler measurements where I was rolling it out would of been invaluable. Plus no flour would of been needed saving me a huge mess.
Like other silicone mat this mat is dishwasher, freezer, and oven safe. The only real downside for me is that it's too large to actually double as a regular silicone baking mat. It won't fit in any of my pans and I have some pretty large ones. But clean up is a breeze and takes no effort scrubbing at all to get food off.
I would recommend this mat those that bake a lot and are math challenged. Would make a great gift for the baker in the family!

I don’t like conversions either. Makes me feel like I’m in high school again lol.
