Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, the only one in the Middle East.
Both in winter and summer, this complex occupies an area of 20 000 m2 covered with real snow. Just imagine, in the middle of the desert, you can ski, walk in the snow park, and “chat” with penguins.
The average temperatures range from -1° to -5° C in the complex while reaching +50 °C outside. The thickness of the snow cover is about 70 cm.

Hotels Around Ski Dubai
There are many hotels near Ski Dubai, several dozen up to 10 km. There is also a hotel located in the Mall of the Emirates — Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.
Ski Slopes
The complex has five ski slopes and a separate track for snowboarders. The ski slopes vary in complexity, gradient, and height. The most complex one is 400 meters long.
For snowboard fans, there is an ideal track of 90 meters. There is also a jumping area in the Freestyle Zone, where competitions are regularly held.
It is an excellent place for both beginners and professionals. If you ski for the first time, experienced instructors give lessons for a fee to anyone who needs it.
Both individual lessons and group lessons are possible. A group lesson is for three people per instructor. The ticket price for the ski slope includes all the necessary equipment and clothing for outdoor activities, except a hat and gloves.
Snow park
Here, you can also visit the world’s largest snow park with a snow tunnel. It occupies an area of 3000 m2 and is especially popular with families with children.
Huge play areas in the snow and a mysterious tunnel will delight both children and adults. There are slopes for sleigh riding, towers for novices and experienced climbers, and ice houses in the park.
Snow Bullet
Exciting zipline rides 16 meters above the slopes. Flying over skiers at warp speed is fun for the tough guys. Children from 8 years old, accompanied by adults, can ride the snow bullet, too.
Cableway
After skiing or snowboarding, a chairlift will take you to the start. This is the best place to enjoy the view of Ski Dubai and relax after all activities or before new ones.
This definitely sounds like an interesting place to go skiing! I have never been skiing before, I have heard it was pretty hard though.
Skiing can def be a challenge. My husband took to it pretty easily, it was harder for me.
