Naturally, mammals, especially humans, must sleep during night time. However, this is not the case for people who do their jobs at night. Most night shift jobs are doctors, fast food workers, police, nurses, security guards, and many more. If you are one of these courageous people, this article and CBD tea is for you.
Working at night sucks. Not only do you have to deal with being tired, but living a healthy lifestyle is also harder to achieve. You are more likely to eat unhealthily and at random times, skip exercise, and, most importantly,…be deprived of sleep.
Night shift workers need a little extra help to stay healthy and energized on the job. Keep reading for tips! Click To TweetStudies show that people who work at night are more at risk of getting health problems than those who work in the day time. But don't worry, there are things you can do to help lessen these risks.
Keep reading to learn how you can maintain your well-being and avoid diseases even if you are working the night shift.
Eat a Balanced Diet
Having a balanced diet is not enough to stay healthy. You have to eat at the correct intervals as well and not skip meals. This is easier said than done.
This will help you control your body clock.
Your diet should consist of three main meals a day, with snacks in between. Try eating breakfast as soon as you get back, lunch when you wake up, and dinner before you go to work.
Snack On High Protein Foods
Try to eat high protein foods like eggs, peanut butter on crackers, beans, etc. — foods that keep you alert and energetic.
Skip the sweets as their energy is short-lived.
Also, if you can, avoid foods that are high in iron at night. The problem is that high protein foods tend to have a lot of iron as well. In this case, timing and moderation are key.
Foods high in iron can disrupt the liver's circadian rhythm, which might throw your clock out of whack.
Don't Skip Meals
Food is energy! Skipping meals will only make your metabolism slow and leave you feeling tired and drained.
Having regular, healthy meals will make you feel energetic throughout the day and improve your metabolism.
Limit Alcohol and Caffeine
Avoid drinking any alcohol-based beverages before bed. Although alcoholic drinks might help you fall asleep, it doesn't last.
It will wear off in 2 – 3 hours, causing sleep disturbance.
Also, avoid coffee or other caffeinated drinks. Those drinks can interfere with sleep as well.
Instead, walk around or exercise when you start feeling sleepy. Physical activity keeps you awake and is much healthier.
Get a Good Rest Every Night
Lack of sleep is not good for anyone's health. So catch some Zzzz!
Keep the temperature in your bedroom cool and comfortable. Also, darken your room with blackout curtains or wear a sleeping mask. The eyes are sensitive to light even when the eyes are closed, preventing you from getting quality sleep.
You can also block out daytime noises. Use comfortable sponge earplugs if needed.
Avoid taking sleeping pills and other sedatives for an extended time. They can interfere with normal sleep patterns. This also includes cold and allergy medications. Some can make your tired, while others could have a simulate effect.
Instead, try CBD. CBD comes in a variety of forms that can help you relax and relieve anxiety. What's more, it can even help you stay focused on your tasks if you consume it during the day, recent research suggests.

It tastes fantastic over ice too! This CBD tea did a great job at keeping us alert and awake.
Mellow Herbal CBD Tea
To us, ‘Daydreamer' had more of a classic tea flavor, whereas Hippi Tea Mellow reminded us of a wassail spice blend that goes great in tea, cider, or mulled wine. It's one of those flavors that reminds you of the holiday season with flavors of cinnamon.
I could see this herbal tea being perfect for sipping on a cold winter night right before bed.

Get in Some Exercise
Exercise when you can. Instead of sitting down, try moving around.
Choose the stairs over the elevator. Do some squats or stretch during breaks—anything to keep the blood flowing.
Take Vitamin D
Vitamin D deficiency is remarkably common among night shift workers and is linked to a lot of health risks, including several kinds of cancers. So pop some to fill in any deficiency and diet gaps.
Once you master these tips, your body will thank you. Stay healthy!
He really likes CBD Living Sparkling Water but it’s a little expensive.
Oh that’s CBD sparkling water sounds interesting
I have been wanting to try cbd but the cost has made me hesitant . Before bed I always read and always turn my phone off early. I also run an essential oil humidifier every night with different scents
Try looking on Amazon for CBD products — they have many affordable ones
I’m a tea drinker so this is going to fit right in to my daily routine I enjoy trying different teas to add to my collection of teas.
What are some of your favorite teas right now? I like drinking tea at night
Cubs products are awesome. It really helps with my Fibromyalgia and arthritis. Thanks for the chance.
I’m so happy you found something that helps you!
I’ve been curious about all the hype on CBD products and wonder if they are as beneficial as many say. I’d like to try the tea.
Yes, there is a lot of hype around CBD. You’ll never know if it can help you though unless you try it
I’m not sure what to think about these kinds of products that come out every now and again that promise a cure all. What helps me is just keeping busy and when I get tired, I have no problems falling asleep.
I’m so glad you have no trouble sleeping
I haven’t tried any CBD products but my brothers has tried several different things.
Has your brother found any CBD products he likes?
I have tried CBD in capsule and liquid form.I broke my ankle a couple of years ago and developed arthritis in it as a result. The CBD was a great alternative to prescription painkillers. I usually dim the lights and read to fall asleep…it usually does the trick.
That’s great that reading helps you sleep. What have you been reading lately?
I have tried so many different things, due to stress and life circumstanes chaninging I can not get my sleep schedule set. It really helps to stick with a routine and get yourself and your mind and body unwound and prepared as you get ready for bed. Not tv or phones, fans help for me.
Fans help me as well. I cannot sleep if I am hot
I keep thinking about trying CBD items. I have rls and nothing seems to help.
My grandmother has restless leg syndrome too. I know if she doesn’t take her medication at a certain time before bed she can’t sleep
I love CBD products, I even have my whole family including Grandma using at least one kind of CBD product daily! Usually at night to get to sleep I relax and put down the cell phone and other electronics, except maybe I’ll watch a movie, and have a cup of Sleepytime tea, I can’t wait to try CBD tea now that I know about it!!
Wow, love that your whole family is a CBD user!
I’ve never tried CBD products before. But looking at these tea descriptions make me interested in trying them.
CBD is super popular right now – you should give it a shot!
I am a huge supporter of CBD and a big fan. I’ve never heard of or seen this product before but I am super interested! I would love to give these a try. I don’t usually have any troubles waking up or falling asleep but CBD had all sorts of benefits. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to hear you are a fan of CBD. What does it help you with?
I’ve worked several overnight shifts. After getting out at 8 or 9 am I felt like I didn’t know if I should sleep or eat.I wound up sleeping.I don’t have a problem sleeping but I sometimes wake up at strange hours like 3or 4 am. I would love to try this CBD tea.
You sound like me. Sleep usually beats eating
I have never tried any CBD products before but am very open to trying as I have heard nothing but wonderful things! My best suggestion to help with sleep time is to limit screen time or the hour before bed!
I’m so glad to hear you are open to trying CBD
I love the CBD products. Really helps with my arthritis.
I’m so glad to hear CBD products help you with your arthritis
I love CBD! I often take it for chronic back pain and it helps a lot. These teas sound fabulous!
I am so glad CBD helps your chronic back pain
Actually I do drink tea before bed. It is my own concoction of herbal peach tea and herbal mint tea.
I hadn’t thought of combining peach and mint tea. I sometimes do peppermint and sleeptime tea.
I love what this tea has to offer and sounds like something that I
would definitely benefit from.
@tisonlyme143
Glad to hear you would love to try this CBD tea!
I try very hard to be in bed at the same time every night. I didn’t know CBD tea was a thing. Going to have to look into trying this.
That’s great you have a strict sleeping schedule. That does help a lot. CBD products in general are very popular at the moment. I see stores popping up everywhere.
I’ve tried edibles, oils, and creams! I love them at first because they seem to work great for my panic attacks and sleep problems. However, they stop working after a couple of days. It’s like my body gets used to it really quickly. I’m crossing my fingers that this tea won’t do that…if I win!
That’s interesting! I’m surprised they became ineffective so quickly. Do you have a high metabolism? I wonder what would cause that?
Personally I could never work the night shift
I tried night shift once when I was younger. It was not for me.
i dont have any tricks to fall asleep any faster or wake up any better. but, i do feel as though i sleep better with a well balanced diet way less fitfull.
What kind of diet plan are you on?
i follow a couple diets i use calorie counting sometimes then also fast metabolism diet too both are awesome
That’s awesome. My husband is a fan of calorie counting
Interesting. I didn’t know it could be consumed in a tea. Makes sense though! I’m currently trying a CBD oil capsule. I’m about 5 days in. So I’ve yet to see or maybe I should be feeling some change. I have trouble sleeping and staying asleep. Stress has got my mind going! But hope that changes soon.
I’m sorry to hear you are stressed. I hope the CBD your taking kicks in soon!
I have tried melatonin with no success. I occasionally will try a glass of warm milk just before bedtime with mixed help. I have never tried cbc and did not know if was sold in a tea form.
I like the (aff link) melatonin that dissolves under the tongue the best. It works for me well. Maybe CBD will help you!
I take Melatonin to fall asleep nightly. As for staying awake I try to follow a pretty regular schedule and fit in some exercise including farm chores so I usually have enough energy to complete a day. I have tired CBD a couple times for pain/ inflamation and it helps.
I also take melatonin at night and it helps me sleep too. I am glad to hear CBD has helped you. What kind did you take?
This tea sounds wonderful. Those are some great tips for working the night shift. I could have used these tips when I worked the night shift decades ago. I hated it. I became obsessed with sleep.
Working night shift isn’t for everyone. Was it hard for you?
I would love to try the CBD Tea!
That’s great news! Have you tried other CBD products before?
This tea sounds really good and I would love to give it a try!
So happy to hear you are open to trying CBD tea!
Considering everything going on I usually still sleep pretty good. Bout the hardest thing for me is going to bed on an empty stomach. Waking up I just take some caffeine and I’m usually ok.
If it has been a really long time before eating and I go to sleep sometimes I wake up with hunger pangs. I hate that lol.
Interesting how limiting caffeine and high protein snacks help, but exercise is a must lol
Have you ever tried CBD before?
I have never tried CBD before, but would be open to it. I love tea and trying new things.
I am happy to hear you are open to trying CBD.
A shower in the morning instead of at night helps to wake me up in the mornings.
Only cold showers wake me up lol. Warm showers make me more sleepy.
I have always wanted to try CBD products. I sometimes have a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep. I do try to make sure I drink enough water during the day and have a snack before bedtime, sometimes that helps with sleep.
CBD products are super popular right now. You should give them a shot to help with your sleep.
