Staying hydrated

Everyone knows just how important water is to your body. I mean—we are mostly made of water, right? We know we need to stay hydrated. That’s what you always hear anyway.

It’s not that I don’t like water. I like it just fine. I just don’t get thirsty unless I’m very physically active and let’s face it that’s not too often.

That will be changing in the near future.

I spend most of my days working on my computer and nights trying to watch a TV show. I’m completely slammed with work right now so that doesn’t leave a lot of free time for exercise.

So in order for me to stay hydrated — I need to actively think about it. A LOT.

For some reason, working out my brain doesn’t equate my body going, “Hey, you need water!”. It just doesn’t happen. The only way I drink water is if I intentionally leave water within arms reach.

It literally has to be right there—not in the refrigerator or across the room. I only get up to prepare my grandfather’s meals during work hours (when humanly possible).

In the past, I’ve tried getting my recommended daily water amount. Even though I want to stay hydrated, it doesn’t last too long.

I even downloaded an app to keep track of my water intake. You know what happens, though? Despite my good intentions, the water gets hot. Call me picky but I’m not a fan of room temperature water.

I want nice, COLD water to drink — and stay hydrated in style!

So guess what? The water ends up just sitting there and I go about my business—ignoring it. Typically, I drink bottled water to stay hydrated — those things have no insulation whatsoever. They get hot—quick.

I was asked to try out a Zoku Stainless Steel Bottle and share my thoughts—so I filled that bad boy up!

Stay Hydrated with Zoku

Zoku makes a variety of different housewares—products that help you hydrate to making frozen desserts. They even have barware!

Their Triple Quick Pop Maker is amazing too, especially with my Creamy Orange Popsicle Recipe 😉

I received an 18oz Stainless Steel Bottle with a modern calligraphy design. It’s so stylish. I am able to fill it up with an entire cold water bottle plus a few ice cubes.

And, guess what?

Not only does it stay cold my whole work day—if I forget about it, it’s still drinkable the next day!

That’s completely new to me.

I’m used to my water going hot within the hour (my grandfather keeps the house toasty).

The Zoku Stainless Steel Bottle is vacuum insulated—made of heavy gauge 18/8 stainless steel (kid-proof, IMO). Its double wall construction can keep drinks cold for up to 40 hours and hot for up to 12 hours!

Now I stay hydrated with ease.

I love that this Stainless Steel Bottle has a screw on lid. Whether I am working at my desk or on a bed (my office is being painted right now) I don’t have to worry about this sucker spilling.

With other cups, I am forever spilling drinks on accident. Usually, either the cats knock it over or I cleverly bend over while holding it 😉

BUT with my Zoku Stainless Steel Bottle, I can just toss this bad boy on the bed without worry of it spilling. PLUS the lanyard is perfect for when my hands are full (which is often)!

You too can stay hydrated with this awesome Zoku Stainless Steel Bottle (read below!). They offer many designs and colors too. Check out the Zoku website to see all their great products today!

How do you stay hydrated?

I love my water COLD. I have problems eating and drinking because of a car accident and my MS. I drink water and it feels like sand and sometimes I can’t even swallow food or drinks. I amy trying to drink as much as I can when I can. I wish I could drink more.

A lot of us do not drink enough water! It is crazy how many ailments it helps though. Our bodies feel so much better when we stay hydrated. I try to keep a stainless steel water bottle with me wherever I go.
