Being a parent I know that there are plenty of times that the kids are bored but we have no idea what to do with them. Surprise Ride fixes that!
Surprise Ride is a monthly subscription box for kids ages 6 to 11. Each box contains a surprise theme that revolves around creativity and imagination that will have your child learning something new about the world.
Best part? The activities in Surprise Ride are hands-on so you and your child will be actually having quality time together instead of playing the iPad. This is much needed in today's technology driven world our kids are highly addicted to. Surprise Ride is great for the whole family!
Our Surprise Ride was the perfect theme. Stars! Big Bug has loved all things outer space for a while now. You may have seen his Outer Space Room or some of the Outer Space Birthday Party Decorations he's had.
The two main activities of our Surprise Ride was designing and building a clock and taking part in a We Spy Telescope Game. All of the essential items needed to accomplish the activities are included – even the battery for the clock! Now, that's saying something. Nothing includes batteries these days. And step by step instructions are there to guide you along the way as well.
My son loved painting the clock together and proudly displaying it in his room. Now he will always know what time it is! Well, he would if he could tell time a little better. That's a bonding experience for another day.
For the We Spy Telescope Game you decorate your “telescope” and then try to find space stickers that someone placed around the room while you stay still. Every kid likes I Spy!
Also, included in our Surprise Ride was a compass, a little toy alien, a fill-in activity book, and astronaut freeze dried pineapple. I found it interesting how my boys loved the astronaut freeze dried pineapple but won't touch the fresh stuff. Learn something new everyday!
I especially love that there's an information pamphlet (Travel Guide)Â that tells real facts – like explaining how a clock works, what constellations are, and fun facts like “There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on all the beaches on earth!”.
My son is all about non-fiction so he loved his Surprise Ride Subscription Box! I think Surprise Ride would be great for any family who's looking to spend more time together while learning a little bit about the world. It's a great thing to have in your back pocket when the kid's say “Mom, I'm bored!”. This kid's subscription box makes a great gift too!

Hold a book in my hands and read it, or sleep that is a good thing too
I can’t argue with sleep! I LOVE sleep Jo Anne 🙂
