Making one’s way through the challenges of culinary school is no small feat. It is a process that takes a great deal of dedication, time, and passion for their craft. With their qualifications in hand, your new culinary school graduate will be ready to make their way into the culinary world and make a name for themselves as an accomplished chef.

In order to mark this momentous occasion, you might want to present the new graduate with a gift. However, it can be tough to know what to get a new chef upon graduating from culinary school.

Throughout their time in school, they no doubt learned what they prefer when it comes to essential items like knives and utensils. However, there are still several gifts that they would surely appreciate upon graduating from their program.

With that in mind, if you have a close friend or family member who is graduating from culinary school, here are three gift ideas for you to consider that they would love to receive.

1. A Quality Apron

One item that a chef can’t have too many of is an apron. They will go through aprons very quickly throughout the course of a week resulting in large amounts of laundry at the end of the day. To make sure that they always have a clean, quality apron at the start of the day, consider getting them one or two as a graduation present.

Aprons that suit their preferences when it comes to style and color is a gift that won’t go unappreciated. You can check out the full range available at Chefworks.com to find the perfect graduation present for the new chef.

2. A Blank Recipe Book

Even though the new chef will be spending a great deal of time on the job working at a restaurant, they will still likely find time to come up with their own creations. This is why a blank recipe book would make the perfect gift for them upon graduation.

This is the sort of present that they will appreciate for many years to come. It is where they can store their own creations so that they can share them with loved ones or simply look back on down the line to see how their skills have grown and developed.

3. A Small First Aid Kit

Even chefs who take all precautions in the kitchen are not immune to random cuts, scrapes, and burns. Cooking can be dangerous work, especially when you are working quickly and under pressure during the busiest times of the day for a restaurant. This is where a small first aid kit will really come in handy.

Make sure that your kit includes things like band-aids for cuts and something to treat burns. They will be glad to turn to this kit any time a little mishap occurs when they are in the kitchen so that they don’t have to waste any time tending to their minor injuries.

Final Thoughts

Graduation season is in full swing and if you have a loved one who has just completed culinary school, we’ve got the perfect gift ideas for you! These are great gift ideas for a graduating culinary school student! I think a really high-quality apron is perfect and really meaningful, especially if you personalize it for them.

Thanks! We love the apron idea, too, for someone graduating from culinary school. There are just so many possibilities they’ll love.
