Toopy and Binoo is a cute animated TV show for kids that will send your child into imagination overload. In this animated series the cat and mouse roles (size wise) are reversed where Toopy is a big mouse and Binoo is a tiny cat.

The makers of Toopy and Binoo say:

The series inspires preschoolers ages 2 to 6 to expand their creativity while reinforcing positive values such as friendship, good manners, creative thinking, and humor. Funny in an age-appropriate way, Toopy and Binoo teaches children daily skills and encourages them to use their imaginations. A phenomenal hit TV series in Canada, Toopy and Binoo is now available for the first time ever to US audiences exclusively on the Toopy and Binoo TV YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/toopyandbinootv. The Toopy and Binoo TV YouTube channel features more than 100 full, five-minute episodes, each with laughs and stories the whole family will enjoy.

In each episode you get to watch Toopy and Binoo explore whimsical worlds. You never know where a door, a box, a board game, or even looking underneath a couch cushion will take you. You could end up running from dinosaurs or floating around in outer space.

Best friends, Toopy and Binoo remind me of a similar pair from my childhood – Garfield and Odie. Just like Odie Binoo is the silent, smart one while Toopy like Garfield is an outspoken, curious character. Although Toopy's tone also has a Barney like resemblance to it as well making him more appealing to small children.

As a parent I love that each episode is only 5 minutes. Even my rowdy 4 year can make it through an episode. You wanna know the crazy thing though? We sat and watched the entire DVD in one sitting and then he wanted to watch it again. He never does that! I can barely get him to watch any full length kid's movie but he happily wanted to watch the hour long Toopy and Binoo DVD, AGAIN!

Each episode being only 5 minutes has a lot to do with it I think. He only has to be engaged for 5 minutes and that's something even he can do. Before he knows it something new and exciting is starting again.

I also love that when Toopy and Binoo are eating it's always something healthy. They are always snacking on fruits and veggies. Something any parent hopes subconsciously will seep into their child's head and making them want to do the same thing.

My only real criticism of this cute TV series (as an adult) is the laughing and noises Toopy makes. He can get pretty annoying. His laugh and squeals are some kind of mixture between Barney and Tigger. It's a bit much for an adult to listen to but my son doesn't even seem to notice it. He probably even enjoys it.

Overall, I would recommend Toopy and Binoo to parents of young children. The day we watched this DVD my son just had to take his plush Toopy and Binoo toys in the car while we did errands. Now that's saying something.

Please join Toopy and Binoo for a fun Twitter Party today (Thursday, February 20th) at 1:00PM hosted by @ResourcefulMom to learn more about the show and win wonderful prizes! Follow #ToopyandBinoo to participate.

It seems to be a good animated TV show for kids, if it teaches good manners, humour and creative thinking. It is a shame that isn’t available in Europe, but who knows, maybe one day we will have it here.

I beat it will make over to Europe one day. The show def promotes creative thinking in kids. Hopefully enough to get them drawing and such instead of playing on tablets.
