Have you ever noticed in clothing stores just how much more girls have to choose from than boys? I'll go to the mall to look for clearance items and there will be 50 racks of girls clothes and like 5 for the boys. It's crazy especially for a mom of two boys.
I also tend to think the girls clothes are cuter. Maybe it's because I am a girl and am drawn more to girly things but still. Boys need choices too!
Luckily, I have three nieces (soon to be 4) that I can shop for. Recently I was introduced to TwirlyGirl. They make the cutest clothes especially kids dresses for parties.
They have so many adorable and super colorful kid party dresses but I really loved their Pitter Patter dress ($62).
Before I forget TwirlyGirl shares this sweet poem that I just love along with their Pitter Patter dress. Perfect, huh?
Perhaps you’re hanging from a ladder,
Or stirring up some pancake batter,
Or maybe you’re on a baseball field,
With all your friends
Yelling “hey batter, batter.”
It doesn’t really matter,
If it’s a record you want to shatter,
Or magic seeds you’d like to scatter.Do what makes your heart feel joy,
What makes it pitter-patter.
My 6 year old niece's favorite color is green so it was the perfect choice. It's so soft, almost silky. Feels so amazing I wish I had one to wear. It's made from Polyester/Spandex blend (96/4%) and features a double heart applique on the chest. It's fully lined so there is no fear of seeing through this kids party dress in certain light. There's also a sweetheart neckline and v-back detail that makes it even more adorable.
The top half of this kids party dress is green and white paisley type print while the lower half is a pink and white floral print. SO cute! I had my niece try it on for me and she wouldn't take it off.
She loved it – making it the perfect addition to her Bella Ballerina spin shoes that we also got her as a birthday gift. Someone even asked me if these two items were made by the same people since they both deal with twirling and spinning. Perfect combination!
The packaging was just as adorable as the rest of the kids dresses for parties as seen here on the TwirlyGirl website. The TwirlyGirl Pitter Patter Dress came wrapped up in a little bundle with TwirlyGirl ribbon tied ends and made of the same fabric as the dresses.
It being wrapped up like this proved to me just how wrinkle free this fabric was. After coming out of being bundled for who knows how long it came out perfect. No wrinkles in sight! This is great for kids. I don't know about you but I hate ironing (even with dryer balls helping out) and I think ironing kid's clothes is even worse. Their clothes are so little and hard to get the iron where it needs to go. With TwirlyGirl though that's not a problem.
TwirlyGirl clothes are all machine washable and practically wrinkle free. Can you hear all mom's exhale a sigh of relief?
TwirlyGirl doesn't only make cute dresses but they also make pants, shirts, skirts, accessories, and more. Any little girl would love any of their super soft and colorful products. It's just what young girls want in their clothing.

I have two boys and its right what you say when you go in to a kids clothes store there’s racks upon racks of girl clothes. Come to the boys clothes and there’s one rack. Is this because designers just don’t have the imagination to design clothes for boys.
I have no idea what the reason is. I think designers just feel they can do more with female clothes and find that they can imagine more than they can with male clothes. It’s more fun I guess. Still wish it wasn’t the case.
