valentines pretzel brownie bites
I received an IKuuk baking mat for free in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I probably won't be doing much this Valentine's Day since it will be pretty close to when we will be moving. Yay! I'm SO looking forward to the new house and new projects to undertake.

I can see it being a family Valentine's Day with dinner. My family is my greatest love so I'm perfectly good with that!Just because we won't be doing anything super exciting or fancy doesn't mean fun treats won't be popping up here and there.

Take these Valentines Pretzel Brownie Bites for example. I combined aspects of two of my previous treats into one, my Yumtastic Brownies and Sugar Cookie Truffles.

To make these Valentines Pretzel Brownie Bites you could dip pretzels in candy melts like I did in the Sugar Cookie Truffle recipe. For this recipe though I decided to use just a cup of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels. I think it tastes better than candy melts.

I melted the white chocolate morsels in the microwave for 1 minute, stirred, and then cooked them for 15 seconds more until the chocolate was smooth. At the end I stirred in 1 tsp vegetable oil to thin it out a little.

I dip the pretzels in the chocolate and then into the sprinkles. My son has a blast licking his fingers while helping me. They were placed on my iKuuk Silicone Baking Mat style=”border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;” src=”http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=hojobymo-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00LJBPOVE” alt=”” width=”1″ height=”1″ border=”0″ /> to harden. This was the perfect surface as they didn't stick at all to the mat!

The IKuuk Silicone Baking Mat fits half sheet pans making any pan non-stick while keeping it in pristine condition. I love it! And it washes easy too. The stuck on chocolate just slid right off. I love that if I'm feeling lazy I can just put it in the dishwasher.

The makers of IKuuk Silicone Baking Mat say:

IKuuk Silicone baking mats can withstand temperatures from -40 F to +480 F, and are perfect for use in
the freezer, microwave and oven. Baked items brown more evenly and are less likely to burn. Mats are also dishwasher approved for top rack only. The mats will not absorb food orders or flavors and are perfect for the avid baker or the seasonal holiday cook.

I would recommend IKuuk Silicone baking mats to, well, anyone. For around $20 you get two BPA/BPP free silicone mats that are sure to be a handy tool in the kitchen for even those that don't really cook. They come in handy even if you are just baking a frozen pizza! IKuuk even has a lifetime no-hassle free replacement guarantee to keep your mind at ease.

While the pretzels were setting I baked the brownie bites. For these I followed my Yumtastic Brownie recipe exactly except placed the batter into my silicone mini muffin pan and baked for 13 minutes at 350F. They turned out perfect!

After applying the chocolate glaze I topped them with a chocolate sprinkle pretzel. SO delicious!

Are you doing anything special for Valentines Day?

I like the idea of baking the brownies in a muffin pan. We do that all the time. It keeps the edges from getting hard as a rock, lol.

Plus, being brownie bites they are better portioned so you don’t oven indulge.

I have been thinking about getting a baking mat. I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not. It seems like a great product though! I like that it can be frozen or put in the oven, the multiple uses are important!

Ok those Brownies LOOK SO GOOD!!!! We are on a six wee healthy eating plan, and then introducing YUMMY foods back in as we go, guess what is on the list to come back in??? Yep, these!!! The mat looks interesting, and I like that it fits all cookie trays, and keeps trays looking brand new, I would then have to go buy new trays so I can feel the satisfaction of keeping cookie trays clean 🙂 can we say clean freak !!!!
