Next, to the fall, winter is my favorite season. I love the crispness to the air and all of the fun holidays that surround the season. I mean, who doesn't? No snubbing your nose at Jack Frost or Father Christmas is allowed in this house. It's a fabulous time of year that should be celebrated!
For the kids, this means doing fun winter indoor activities and baking. LOTS of baking! We make all kinds of things like cookies, cupcakes, and other fun holiday recipes. The kiddos have a blast!
While these things are fun for adults too, what better way to bring in the season than with a festive winter cocktail? This cocktail features fruit flavors of peach and orange so you can pretend it's summertime if you like or take winter for what it's worth.
Embrace the Flavors of this Winter Cocktail
In case you didn't know, most citrus fruits are in peak season sometime in the winter while peaches thrive in the summer. While these guys may not mingle on trees at the same time their flavors do so quite well. Think of famous cocktails like Sex on the Beach and the Fuzzy Navel or summer time Mimosas and Sangrias. The flavors don't just go together, they MARRY each other!
Everyone Loves Cocktails at Parties!
While winter won't officially be kicking off in the United States till December this versatile cocktail can be enjoyed any time of year.
