Dutch Oven Jambalaya Recipe with Sausage, Shrimp, and Rice

Whip up this extremely tasty jambalaya recipe featuring large shrimp, kielbasa sausage, and microwavable basmati rice. Everyone will love the bold, zesty flavors!

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz kielbasa sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 2 ribs celery diced
  • 1.5 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp creole seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp parsley dried
  • 1/2 tsp thyme dried
  • 1 lb frozen cooked shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 14.5oz can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 16 oz Mrs. Renfro's Salsa
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
  • 2 cups basmati rice cooked


  1. In a dutch oven heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add sausage; constantly stir until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  2. Add celery, onion, garlic, and all spices and cook 3-5 minutes over medium-high heat until tender.

  3. Stir in tomatoes, salsa, shrimp, sausage, pepper sauce, and Worcestershire. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium, and let simmer for 5-8 minutes covered.

  4. Stir in rice and let simmer a few minutes more or until rice is warmed. Serve with cornbread if desired. Enjoy!
