As you may have read I've been dabbling in wine the past year or so. Just trying different kinds out here and there. I still pretty much know nothing and don't have that refined nose or palate that a lot wine connoisseurs have.
So when it came to testing out my Zazzol Wine Aerator I didn't really know where to start. I knew it should be red but that was about it. I decided to ask my friend Susan over at Finding Our Way Now for a wine recommendation. She knows so much about wine and reviews different kinds regularily so I just knew she was the person to ask.
One of her first recommendations was Bridlewood Pinot Noir. I wish I had the gift of tasting the dark cherry and raspberries notes that she describes in her Bridlewood Pinot Noir review but sadly I do not. I just usually clump things into the berry category and call it a day. If your a wine lover please visit her. You won't be disappointed!
Here's what the makers of Zazzol have to say about it:
The globally patented Zazzol Wine Aerator uses multistage aeration that more effectively aerates wine as you pour. Vinturi and other aerators only use a single aeration design. The unique design aerates in 3 steps: first wine is dispersed over a cone, then drains through 32 holes, and lastly air is injected into the tube before the wine exits the bottom and into the glass.
The multistage red wine aerator allows wine to spread out thoroughly, while efficiently mixing oxygen with the wine to break down the tannins which can give wine an overly astringent, bitter taste. The Zazzol aeration design provides a more balanced finish while enhancing the aromas and flavors for the ideal glass of wine, every time!
Another great thing about the Zazzol Wine Aerator is how easy it is to – well everything. I love things that are user friendly – both to use and clean. To use you just pour your wine through the aerator and to clean I pour soapy water through it, take it apart, and rinse. It comes apart into only a few pieces and assembling it back together is just as easy. It's also dishwasher safe if you don't want to clean it by hand!
I think the Zazzol Wine Aerator would make the perfect gift for any wine lover. It's packaged VERY nicely in a great box and comes with a carrying bag and stand. It's very classy and high quality feeling. Counting down to Christmas? Check that wine lover off your Christmas list now!
To purchase the Zazzol Wine Aerator please visit Zazzol online or check it out on Amazon. You can have the perfect gift for about $40! It would be the perfect addition to an Uncorked Ventures Wine Club Subscription!!
Susan is great with selecting wines. I read many of her reviews on her blog.
Yes, she is great at it! I respect her SO much 🙂
Aw, thank you for the mention. Aeration makes a big difference in any wine, reds especially. This looks like a great tool. I have a couple that I’ll use from time to time with good success. I’ll need to check this one out. 🙂
You are welcome Susan! I highly respect your opinion on wine 🙂
